MNf - WTF

Why are people watching? It's all fake now anyway. Roger has you fools by the shorthairs...you can't stop.

Just woke up and saw the replay. Wow. That was an insanely bad call. There you have it, the officials have now affected the outcome of a game negatively. We were waiting for it to happen, and Goodell better act.

Didn't read any of this thread, because I am a badass like that, but this exact same thing happened to me when I was a sophomore. Got the pick, refs gave the TD to the the receiver. Damn Adair Casey.

Anybody else have money on gb.... I'm thinking of ******** to my "cybookie"... Probably will just suck it up but this one hurts... Could of gotten dug out of a whole I put myself in earlier in the week...

didn't read any of the thread but.....

regardless of how terrible the refs were.....

the packers lost, and that's all something we can celebrate

Even if people quit watching, they'll be even more people watching because it's like the car accident that you can't look away.

That call cost me some $$$ (Packers were -3).

I guess I can somewhat forgive the 2-handed push off by Tate as the real refs may not make that call. But Jennings clearly had the initial possession.

The real question is when does South Park start back up? I hope they do an episode about this debacle.

I hope the replacement refs are here to stay....this has been the most excited the lame NFL has been in years! Now appointment television!

Actually, blame the owners. Goodell is just representing them in all of this. You can bet that if the owners got together today and said to end this, it would be over very quickly.

The picture of Jennings laying on top of Tate with the ball against his chest, and Tate with one hand kind of stuck in there with one arm around Jennings, while one ref signals TD, other signals touchback, says it all.

There is no point even playing the games with officiating that bad.

Golden Tate needs to just shut up and quit lying. And Pete Carroll still makes me sick.

Simultaneous possession. That is why the D is taught to bat it away

There is no simultaneous possession if one person clearly catches it first, which the D did.

That said, if I'm McCarthy I'm also yelling at my DB for trying to catch the ball. Knock the ****** down, man. That player put his own stats (getting an INT) above winning the game for his team. Unacceptable.

Jerry Austin was wrong there. There were a lot of terrible calls in this game. But Tate has his hands on the ball before Jennings hits the ground. Possession is 2 feet down and a second move. It is simultaneous possession.
Wrong. If the defender catches it first, even if he's still in the air, the offensive player can't reach in later and claim simultaneously possession. I can't believe you think you know the rules better than Jerry Austin.
