Is he still the guy to lead this team? I don't think I am in favor of a QB change now, but I think it warrants questioning.

He was on fire to start the game, but that second half gave me flashbacks to last year. He needs to take what the D gives him, and stop forcing things.

Yeah, he made some pretty dumb decisions, but that 20 yard run he had was key. He's not making as many stupid mistakes as last year, so I think he still has the edge.

Last week he didn't make any bad decisions, just one throw that was a little high. This week he made 2 horrible decisions. Hopefully he can watch the tape and not do that again. That's all that is holding him back from being a really good qb.

The 2 INTs he threw and pulling the ball out of White's hands were what got him benched last year. I'm glad we have a cupcake and a bye week to get it corrected.

But I do believe he will get benched if he continues making throws like that. CPR has already said he won't stand turnovers.

With that said, I agree he is still our starting QB.

Iowa did such a better job of containing him this year. Our running game was non-existent and we had to rely heavily on our passing game. If only one of those long passes had connected with the receiver!

This was still a pretty good defense that Iowa through at us. He needs to learn from the mistakes and correct them. If he does not play better, then perhaps look for the switch. I really hope next week is the blowout we need to let everyone play some meaningful minutes.

If he plays like he did today in the Big XII season then his leash will get pretty short. But against Western Illinois he'll be able to settle down and gain confidence with high percentage stuff and then we have a bye week. A lot can happen in three weeks before we play Tech.

Jantz is simply not a good QB. He has not been good since he set foot on campus. Hate to say it - we do have to pull out wins despite his play. It was the same way last year. The Tulsa game was not as great as people are making it. 70% of his throws were wide receiver screen/easy passes. We saw how he looks today when he has to make throws at the BCS level.

Well, I think we see exactly what we get between SJ and JB. SJ can make a special play or two, but still cannot run the zone read well at all and his two INT were horrible. The INT at the end near the end zone was simply awful, stupid decision. That crap will lose us a lot of games.

JB makes the run game go much better, but does not have the throwing ability.

idk, just lucky to get the win with such poor QB play over last 3 Q.

At least we don't have VDB, or his receivers.

Thank God for Jake Knott, Wally Burnham and our DDDDD!!!!!!

VDB would be just fine...the receivers on the other hand...

Don't forget the fact that we were missing the Big Hammer from our toolbox. Throw Woody in there for some of those Red Zone possessions, and we're watching the Iowa fans leave the game early once again.

That was an amazing D performance... no matter what team is on the other side of the line. Jantz made a couple amazing plays. He did miss a wide open Horne that would have sealed the game with 3 minutes left.
