Two missing girls

Anyone else have a feeling that these girls gone missing, may have something to do with dads drug issues.... And the fact that court is upcoming for him for those charges?

You aren't the only one. Talking to my buddy who is a Waterloo police officer said this is the general thought among a lot of the law enforcement around Evansdale. Apparently the dad was also supposed to in court for a pre-trial hearing the day they went missing. That's all he was able to tell me but did say there is more to it than that. He said that there's a lot of information and evidence that they can't mention right now, but he said a lot of it is shocking and is why the FBI is looking at the family pretty hard right now.

I can imagine it must be quite condemning to someone since everyone is so tight lipped.

Today was the last of the daily pressers, during the presser, investigators were meeting with someone at the same time, and more people came forward with tips through the hotline. It's a nationwide search. That's about all there was.

And now the crazies are coming out of the wood work:
EVANSDALE, Iowa - More people, including dozens of people calling themselves psychics, are coming forward with information in connection with the case of two missing Iowa girls, officials said Tuesday.
Elizabeth Collins, 8, and Lyric Cook, 10, were last seen about 12:15 p.m. on July 13 in downtown Evansdale. Their bikes and a purse were found along a trail on the southeast corner of Meyers Lake about 3:58 p.m.

"He said all the calls were being treated as leads and being followed up on, but he said none of the reports from the psychics are the same story."

Shocking.

It's almost an insult for "psychics" to claim they know where the girls are.

I watched the video an have no idea what is suspicious about it. Unless there are contradictions in the video with what she told investigators.

It's a good sign if the psychics have not found any leads usually they only do if someone is dead because they talk to the spirits pirate

If they are bringing in psychics, this case has pretty much gone cold.

They're not bringing the self-proclaimed psychics in, the authorities are getting calls from them. These "psychics" each just hold out hope that they may blindly help the authorities stumble into locating the girls so they can become rich and famous on their "abilities."

Hopefully it isn't too obvious that I think psychics are frauds.

bumpity. nothing newsworthy for almost a day on here. sad.

The police have no idea on this other than to focus on the parents. I think they have all watched too much cop TV and think they will be able to badger a spontaneous confession from someone in lieu of anything else. When you have no leads or ideas than badger the husband, wife, parent etc even if you can ID no motive.

The FBI is also investigating.

Most of the time things like this do have to do with the family. In addition, the one set of parents legal problems are another red flag.

There's something pretty fishy about this because most abuductions don't involve two kids. Two kids are going to be a lot harder to take. The 10 year old is a pretty big girl and probably wouldn't be the easiest to take.

I am sure that the police and the FBI are looking at all possibilities, but the drug connections of the one girl's parents are probably the best lead right now.
