Yeah, one in Marion, one on Sw side of CR. Nervous to let the kids play outside. Sad.

FBI says the white van owner wanted for questioning has just turned himself. FBI is interviewing him right now---say he's cooperating.

Guessing that means he's not involved at all. Maybe he saw something? If that's the case I doubt he would have kept silent this long.
I'm not really sure what to think of it. Hypothetically if he was involved, maybe since the FBI has his picture, he would "turn himself in and cooperate" to try to look as innocent as possible? I don't know. It's really weird, but hopefully this is one of those leads that the authorities have been so tight lipped about.

FBI has released man after questioning. Not considered a suspect.
Kinda want to stay out of Iowa for an extended period of time now. Too many abduction attempt reports. Some are probably bad pranks pulled by both adults and children, but it's enough to make me nervous. When we get back next week I get to try and explain to my daughter why she can't play in her own yard anymore unless I'm out with her.
If I knew who the bad guys were, I would not hesitate killing them.

Not sure what part you're responding to, but Ivan Moody said to send the guy to him when he was found to great applause when Five Finger Death Punch played up here and they had the banner with the two girls' picture on it up here in Waterloo. I also have noticed that I'm seeing way less kids outside playing without their parents right there with them up here, and that's been a big change since this spring when I saw them outside all the time. People up here, that don't even know the families, are worried sick about this whole thing.
Kids aren't out of eyesight, and no one here sounds like they want the abductor(s) to live through the night when found.
I wonder how many of these reports are hoaxes? I find it tough to believe that we rarely have abductions around here and then in the last few weeks since these girls have gone missing we have so many reports. I'm not saying all of them are, but kids' minds work in mysterious ways and when they see the attention generated by these 2 girls gone missing, I can see some wanting to generate some attention on their own.

Waterloo over the years, Evansdale seems to always have an abundance of low-life
white trash. Even one of the fathers of one of the girls has a rap sheet a mile long, and should be in jail
Can't say i blame them, having a child taken is probably one of the worst things that could happen.
Back in 2002 when authorities were looking for the DC area sniper, they were focusing on a white van for a while. At some of the shootings people had mentioned seeing a white box truck with dark lettering on the side and it made sense for someone to shoot out of a box truck rather than the trunk of a car. It turned out that white box trucks with dark lettering on the side were just very common.
FBI returned to the lake following a tip they received today. However, they're saying that nothing of note was found.
