Wondering about some of the other positions where there were can't miss prospects that became draft busts. Some of the ones I can remember.

O-Line: Tony Mandarich, Robert Gallery
WR-Charles Rodgers, Peter Warrick
RB-Ki-Jana Carter, Curtis Ennis
DE-Andre Wadsworth

this one hurts :(

while he has had a productive career, I think Reggie Bush could fall into this category just based on the hype surrounding him coming in, he wasnt really ever to do those things in the nfl that made him so successful in college. Looks like the texans made the right choice in him and VYoung.

Ricky Williams could maybe be on the list, had a long career, but not quite what was expected.

Mike Williams (USC WR). Outstanding college WR, averaged 15 TD's a year, he has a body very close to Calvin Johnson. Averaging 1 TD a year since being in the NFL since 2005. Pathetic.

Maurice Clarett debacle comes to mind.

Funny how many names I come with that are QBs. I bet there are more QB "busts" than all others combined. Leaf, Marinovich, Long, Leinart off the top of my head.

I think there are some wildly different ideas as to what constitutes a "bust". Some players may not live up to their draft pick, but if they put together a solid, decade long career in a league where the average career lasts 3-4 years, that isn't a bust in my opinion. To me a bust is a player who gets drafted high and flames out in one or two seasons while barely making an impact on the field. Tony Mandarich was a complete bust. Robert Gallery didn't pan out as a Hall of Fame level left tackle, but I wouldn't call him a bust.

I would bet not. Probably has more to do with the fact that QB's get more attention than offensive linemen or any other position.
