Mays and Harris to transfer

Mays is a post.

Not surprised about Mays. A little surprised about Harris.

I hope this means Ellis isn't going anywhere. I think she has real potential.

Mays and Harris do not possess Big 12-level talent, IMO. I don't think Ellis does either, quite frankly.
The program has not attracted enough talent lately. Too many players given scholarships here who cannot compete in this conference. It appears we are often whiffing on our first-choice recruits and then go to plan B.
Buckley from Mason City is a huge get - how to get more of them on her same talent level?

I had hoped Harris would find a role and get minutes. There's always room for a shooting guard with a good bb IQ. If she continued to develop, ISU would have benefited from her experience in the program, not to mention some depth at guard. Our guard court will be very young. Hopefully they can all start playing together this summer. Certainly can understand that Harris wants to play where she will play.

Vanloo now becomes a more important recruit. If she's coming, when would that be announced? Are there other guards who might still be in line for 2012?

For as much support as the womens program gets and as good of coach as BF is it's disappointing we have not made a NCAA Championship game by now.
I've given up hope it will ever happen and have lost interest.

Too bad, your loss. Maybe you could be happier as a front-running UCONN, Tennessee, or Stanford fan. I'll stick around, take my chances, and enjoy the journey.

Next year looks to be another challenging season. Lots of new players and a new assistant coach. Hopefully Bill's health will be good and he will be up for the challenge.

Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

There are true Cyclone fans and then there are dregs like this. Women's basketball has always been relevant under Fennelly and always will be. Why is it that anyone has to choose one over the other?

Do you apply the same standards to the football team that gets much more support and to the men's bball team that also gets more support? If so, then perhaps you should just lose interest in all Cyclone athletics. Unbelievable the crazy comments people make in here.

Wow. So you don't support any ISU programs then, huh? Because I haven't witnessed too many championship teams in any sport lately. Is that the only reason you support a team?

Look, they win. And they win consistently. But they also play in the toughest conference in wbb. Plus Bill recruits a certain type of player. And that doesn't always equate to a high level of athleticism.

We have fielded a consistent top 25-30 program which once was an absolute joke. There aren't many programs in wbb that have achieved at our level.

Recruit a couple of her teammates. I'm serious. That team is loaded.

Now back to the real business at hand.

Harris...never did show the promise she illustrated as a three point threat in high school. I'm not sure what happened to her shot, but she was as inconsistent as it gets. Just didn't develop. Sees the writing in the wall with the guards coming in.

Mays...always was a project. Rumors had her transferring as far back as January.
