But already, many SEC fans would say the conference's traditional powers -- say, Alabama and Florida, or LSU and Georgia, or old rivals Auburn and Tennessee -- don't play often enough. The most likely outcome of an eight-game schedule is that games between those teams would become even more scarce. Expansion may boost the league's bottom line if its forthcoming post-14-team TV negotiations prove fruitful, but it will still come at a price, and games like this past two season's showdowns between the Tide and Gators look like they'll going to be that price.

This indicates that the new BCS structure will probably not limit conferences to two choices and will still have a polling component to pad SEC resumes.

They are telling us there is going to be no need to toughen schedules to maintain BCS credibility for the national championship.
 
The fact that Aggy demanded cash assurances from the rest of the conference in order to convince them to "stay" in 2010 hasn't been lost on me.

Heard that Ken Starr at Baylor is leading the committee on A&M's buyout...if so he won't layoff.

Big 12 will expand to at least 14 and as many as 16 teams.

Primary targets are ACC schools + ND.

Big East teams are plan B.

BE basketball schools are set to break away from BE football schools thus giving ND no home for their Olympic sports.

Several ACC football-first schools are unhappy with the ACC. They include Maryland, BC, Clemson, Ga Tech, and FSU.

The key is ND. If ND joins the Big 12 for all sports except football BC is a prime target for obvious reasons

Big 12 plans to add schools and take tv rights to open market.

Oliver Luck and the AD from Oklahoma are the only known candidates to replace Neinas.

If atM had not turned tail, MO would never had an opportunity. Let's take all we all from them. They were going SEC from the word go and were waiting for an opening. Sock it to them.
