Wait, so the "big news" this guy was holding was the NCAA investigation of Miami? What was his "source", the morning edition of SportsCenter? Further proof (as if we needed any) that Bleacher Report is a ******* joke.

Right. Cal already threatened to block Baylor because of their Baptist ties, I don't see any way in hell they wouldn't do the same for a Mormon school.
Dont see it happening but there is some thought this would be the new conference formed by Texas/ND/OU

Hahahaha - need to add an Illinois school too!Why not drop GT/UM and add a school from Nevada and Oregon. That would make the subliminal Longhorn symbol a little easier for people to see.
I've seen other posters state similar things about Cal vetoing BYU membership. We're talking about Cal Berkley right? Can someone fill me in on the background here? TIA

Big 120 would dilute the competition. I prefer the Big 64.:yes:Big 120. All FBS teams, all the time. Play a 12 game conference schedule, home & home. You'll see each team every 20 years.

24 team leagues make the most sense....today.And so if you had 4 twenty team conferences, why not just have 10 ten team conferences?
Cal Berkley is the center for atheists vs BYU Mormons: salt and pepper.I've seen other posters state similar things about Cal vetoing BYU membership. We're talking about Cal Berkley right? Can someone fill me in on the background here? TIA
IF the Big 12 dies, which I think is unlikely at this point, this is far, far from the conference that Texas and ND would form. Why would Texas and ND pool most of their games/revenue with the likes of the service academies, Cincy, Tech etc.
IF Texas and ND form a conference it will be elite, those are the two biggest programs in college football. And it will be small, because there are few who are even close to equal with those two.
Notre Dame
Texas
Miami
Oklahoma
USC
Biggest 6th they can pull.
That's the conference that makes sense for Notre Dame and the Longhorn Network both.
Conference Evolved: The Six Team All-Kings Conference - Black Heart Gold Pants
news from out west involves a school in Colorado joining the Big 12 along with 3 or 4 other schools. A rumor that was started on the TCU boards.
I would think that the major programs (Texas, OU, ND, etc.) would have to realize the value of not being in a conference where every team they play is a superpower. If they were, even the best team would likely have a couple of losses. It doesn't make sense. Teams like ISU, MU, KSU, KU, Tech, Baylor, etc. have value in that it allows the superpowers to stay superpowers. In most years, Texas/OU/ND will beat those teams.
Winning = $ and that has to play a part in conference realignment.
I don't really think it's up to Beebe. He can only do what the member institutions allow him to do.
