Quiz-Which American accent do you have?

Which American accent do you have?

Northern

You have a Northern accent. That could either be the Chicago/Detroit/Cleveland/Buffalo accent (easily recognizable) or the Western New England accent that news networks go for.

cool quiz.

Which American accent do you have?

North Central

What people call the "Minnesota accent." Sounds almost Canadian. You may have even been asked if you were from Canada before.

Neutral for me. I had to stop and actually think about how I said some of those things.

I went through and did the opposite of what I picked, with the exception of the "about/mouth" question" (which was obviously the Canadian trap question) and came up with neutral.

neutral.

Neutral, which works out well because I'm from the portion of southeast iowa in the yellow for neutral.

im neutral. even though my southern iowa friends claim i have a northern iowa/minnesota accent.

(long O) .. like a canadian would say about (aboot)

Neutral You`re not Northern, Southern, or Western, you`re just plain -American-. Your national identity is more important than your local identity, because you don`t really have a local identity. You might be from the region in that map, which is defined by this kind of accent, but you could easily not be. Or maybe you just moved around a lot growing up. I'm from southwest Iowa but live in NE now.

Neutral but I used to pronounce Collar and Caller the same and changing my answer there switches it to Western.
