Be very careful about not getting caught up in a Ponzi scheme.
Any marketing job that has "Entry-Level creative sports marketing" in the job title, dont apply. I went as far as interviewing in Denver for what I though was a dream job. Walk into office, where 6 or 7 other young men like myself, are filling out a questionnaire. Knew something was fishy from there on. Each one walks into the "president's" office and walks out shaking their head. There is a website I later found that, people complain about certain companies like this and the kids tell their interview stories.
I went through a recruiter, they do the dirty work for you, and got lucky with my job. My fiance, however, is graduated last december with a marketing degree and had to take the first available job out of school -- Wells Fargo Home Mortgage Loan Specialist. Hates it, but it pays her bills.
So from a fellow marketer, its next to impossible find a great marketing job. But if you were leaning towards sales, there are a lot of choices.
