UNI game

I'll probably end up going to this game since I live in Cedar Falls. But with all of the taxes and service fees, one ticket through UNI online is $34. Plus I think they charge $5 for parking. I don't know I should justify $40 for one ticket to a basketball game. I could have gotten 2 hillside tickets to the football game against UNI for less than $40.

no charge for parking at uni football or basketball

I get in free with a nice UNI student ID. Which I think ISU should start doing so it can get more students in that student section.

I'm not going to be disappointed with any loss this year. Without a real inside game, ISU could lose to any decent team if they have a bad shooting night.

UNI is a team full of scrubs

No, they're not. I expect a tough game that will come down to the wire. If you tell me that the winning margin will be 10+, I'll be inclined to say UNI will be the winner, even with the talent they lost off of last year's team. Ahelegbe (sp?) has been a thorn in our side his entire career and there is still talent around him. I also think Jacobsen is a much better coach than his "best friend."

All that said, I hope we **** pound them. I went to the game in CF in '02 (?) when they beat us in the first time in forever. It was a big win for them at the time but I've never seen a fanbase that handled a win more poorly (of course you have to remember, most of them are hawk fans in purple). There was also "good guy" McD starting a shouting match with WM there and everybody jumping on Wayne's back for it. And lastly, McD almost appologizing for managing to beat UNI when it actually did happen and talking about how he didn't like to see UNI lose. Sorry Greg, but if you didn't want to beat them you never should have left.

Most of it is completely on me and my ability to hold a grudge, but I've never really cared for UNI and their success means nothing to me. I hope we start beating them by 30 the way we used to and never look back.

Would be surprising if a game like this wasnt on TV, at least on mediacom 22 or something
