Anyone gonna be going to this game?

I'm pretty nervous about this game for some reason....(probably my cyclone nerves coming out).

Also, if we win against UNI how will you feel about our team? I know UNI is 1-2 so far and it looks like their losses were close ones.

Planning on going, not nervous at all. The way we are shooting/playing has me feeling pretty good.

Only concern I have is with it being a road game.

Still have Montana State in the way though, so my thoughts could change based on what happens there.

I will be very excited if we pull of a win in Cedar Falls. I don't know much about UNI, but any road win would be awesome.

The UNI game will be very tough because it's our first true road game in front of a hostile crowd, because UNI will be extremely psyched, and because UNI's style of play is very tough to play against. One UNI's losses is at Syracuse, so don't be deceived by their record.

Before this season began, I was expecting this game to be very ugly. I don't think that anymore. I'm still not expecting us to come away with the road win, but I won't be shocked now if it happens.

So far I have not been impressed with UNI they definitely are not the same team as last year, we should be able to beat them if we play our game. As far as the crowd, this will probably the most fans they will have at any game at Mcleod this year, and hopefully we bring quite a few Cyclone fans.

Keep getting my hopes higher for this team with each win, not expecting a blow out again tonight especially coming off an emotional victory on Sunday. Think the UNI game will be close, but will be another Cyclone victory.

Hell, I still have this game pegged as a loss. UNI ALWAYS plays with a chip on their (collective) shoulder. They've dominated Iowa Bball for the last few years and will put up a hell of a fight. If we don't go with out A game there will be a lot of disappointed fans here.

UNI teams (even this year's team) are incredibly fundamentally sound, are effective at controlling the tempo, and really maximize their talent - just ask Kansas. Obviously, they don't have the talent they had last year, but they are still a good team to be reckoned with.

If we manage to come home from Cedar Falls with W, then I believe this team will soar beyond everyone's expectations - especially the Big 12 coaches who unanomously voted us to finish last in the league.

Two questions: 1) Approximately how much are tickets going to run? and 2) If there is anyone else here from Ames that is going, I'd love to ride with you if I can afford the ticket.

It looks like the tickets are $25 plus a $2 fee so 27 total through the UNI ticket website.

I go to UNI and have seen UNI practice and play. One of their first exhibition games was against DIII Wartburg, in which they were losing to them with 4 minutes left in the first half. They did end up winning the game by a good margin, but UNI did not look good. Not very athletic, and their shooting looked pretty bad. Kwadzo Ahelegbe is obviously their best player and looked to be best shooter. But I believe Jake can shut him down. I am going to get their early hoping to get front row to watch ISU beat UNI.

It's tough to replace a front court of Egelseder (sp?) and Koch. If we are any good this year we should win this game. Sure it's a road game, but there should be number of cyclone fans there, and it will be nothing compared to a road game vs. a Big 12 team.

I'll probably end up going to this game since I live in Cedar Falls. But with all of the taxes and service fees, one ticket through UNI online is $34. Plus I think they charge $5 for parking. I don't know I should justify $40 for one ticket to a basketball game. I could have gotten 2 hillside tickets to the football game against UNI for less than $40.

UNItix is awful. I am surprised by the price of there football tickets also. To me 24 seems like a lot.
