Agreed. The reedit is totally chunky too. Seeing that stuff makes me understand why the prequels sucked. Somebody else was directing the first movies and making those creative decisions. It seems like Lucas is only interested in seeing how much cool technology and effects he can use. He's Michael Bay with better source material.

Very true! But I gotta believe it will be more entertaining to see this than many of the movies that are released these days...
You know, I am a little mad that they are starting with I.
I loves me some Ray Park- he alone makes it an exciting finish, but they will need to cut out Jar Jar completely to get more people go and see it.

I think I'd rather see this in IMax. Although, some scenes like the pod race or chase on Endor could be fun.
i'm not expecting much. its a post production switch to 3d which almost always suck. to date only 3 movies have been planned and shot 3d from day 1 and been released. Avatar resident evil afterlife and legend of the guardians. you just cant really make a 2d movie cool by stamping 3d on it, it needs to be shot as a 3d movie....check out www.3dornotto3d.com to find stuff about a true 3d movie.....im actually gonna go see legends of the guardians cartoon because they say its even better than avatar as 3d. tey say it rains from the crowd onto the screen thats gotta be pretty cool, even if the movie isnt that good.

Most post production 3d efforts are rush jobs. It will be interesting to see what they can do with 1.5-2 years worth of effort.
Reasons the prequels and redone OT sucked:
10. The stupid arena scene in E2 ruined that movie. Anakin, Obi-Wan and Padme all riding around on the same animal? Stupid.
9. Boba Fett is now a kiwi? And so are all the stormtroopers? Come on.
8. Jabba in E3 looks fake and lame. They were better off leaving that part out.
7. Is there REALLY a need for all the burping and farting?
6. With all the effect additions, they still couldn't find a way to get rid of that weird black thing on the Emperor's hood in ROTJ?
5. The battle droids are goofy. Why?
4. No Han Solo character-type in the prequels. They had the perfect chance to do something like this with Bail Organa, but chose to make him older and gayer.
3. Age difference between Anakin and Padme. In E1, she looks 15 and he looks 8. In E2, they both look 17. How did he age 9 years while she aged 2? Bad casting.
2. Jar Jar Binks. The droids were plenty of comic relief for the OT. Why the need for the tripping, falling idiot?
1. Greedo shooting first? WTF! totally removes some of the coolness and mistique from the Han Solo character.
The only good things that came out of the prequels were 1.Darth Maul and the double light saber, 2.We got to see Yoda and the Emperor fighting, and 3.We learned a lot about the Obi-Wan character. That's pretty much it. Everything else Lucas basically f'd up.
