6 pts and 5 boards. He will get better. Look how much he has improved this season.

So I am allowing 33% point, 20% rebound improvement. He may do more than that b/c we will lose 60-70% of our point and rebound production this year. And from the coaching up of players I have seen in four years, I would bet it is 50-50 if he will get better.

and holy balls, I hope the starting center could get those numbers. If your starting center can't produce 10 and 8 he is pretty much a non factor.

So you are already going back on what you said.

Yes they sure did but this KU team is very very good. Self is one hell of a coach and recuriter. You dont win 55 in a row at home by mistake.

They are a great team, probably better than the team we beat in 05 who ranked 2nd. But I just have to present the facts when people say there is no way we can beat a high ranked KU team on the road with 7 guys.

Alot of downgrading of ISU's potential has gone on here of late. We can be a great team and program, we do have the potential!

No, I think he will avg what I said. I could be proved wrong as the amount of production leaving. He was recruited to play D1 ball, so he should be able to play. I hope I am wrong but I think he will be an 8/6 player. Now if he were to avg 8/10 and 2 blocks, I think that would be pretty good soild production. But to only avg 6 boards I don't think is good enough.

Sure dont. Really though what does beating a ranked team really prove if you still finish the season at around .500?

It would prove that we can... really the scariest fact of the entire Gmac era is that we haven't upset a Top 25 team.... in 4 years. Good coaches will do that, at least on occasion with the number of opportunities we have had.

You are about as wrong as you can get on this.

Hamilton has averaged 7.9 pts and 7.1 rebounds in conference play.

he's averaged 8.6 pts and 10.0 rebounds over the last 5 games.

My guess is that he's be a 12 pt, 8 rebound a game player at worst, with a 15 & 10 at best, by his senior year.

Agreed, Ham is playing well and will be among the Big 12s best big men by his Sr year. I expect his career and numbers to mirror Homan's.

If we had twenty more games to practice team chemistry we would be able to do it,

i've been critical most of this year, but for the most part i was very encouraged by this game. loved the effort. giving up the bit run in the 2nd half sucked, but at least there appeared to be passion and effort from the players.

I looked at season stats. He could put up those numbers, I don't think he will. In a couple years we'll talk about it.

Show that you can play as an "overacheiver". Have a little swagger at least.

What does one game a season prove? Iowa has beat ranked teams the past few years, what has it got them, besides the abality to say we beat a ranked team. I do feel when this team beats a ranked team it will help right the ship.

So the fact that his numbers are improving as the season goes on and the opponent gets better means nothing to you.

They did play hard and was a good effort. My problem is that they lose this game just like all the others. They lose focus and can't do fundamental things that in the end cost them the game.

i didnt get to watch the game but looking at the box score it looks like brackins had a good game from his stat line 18 pts, 10 reb, 5 ast, 1 block, 2 steals and no TO while playing 37 mins

If you gave Self the option of giving up 18 points to Brackins while he takes 19 shots, I'm guessing he'd take it.
