If the offense doesn't get any better next year, he might have no choice but to leave IMO.
I'll give him 2 years to prove his system works, but we better see drastic improvement next season IMO. We ranked horribly in offense this year.

I don't think we have to worry about him. Assistants yes.. More so... Rhoads no..
He grew up in Ankeny, coached at ISU before, family lives in Ankeny, always wanted to come back as a head coach. I have a feeling this might be a destination job for him.

Remember all of McFarland's delay of game penalties? The only one I can remember Herman having was in the bowl game, and I believe they were having trouble with the playclock. The Nebraska game wasn't exactly play calling wizardry, but we did manage to outscore the competition and have ZERO turnovers with a 2nd string backfield. Also- rather than trying to "fit a square peg into a round hole," Herman's playcalling adjusted to our strengths; which was basically A-Rob. The offense will be better. You'll see.
Mike Stoops will be the next coach at Iowa State... you can take that to the bank.

Not in the Iowa game he didn't. Just sayin
I think for a chunk of the game he did. He just wasn't the one to keep throwing the ball to Sash and Greenwood.
Also that was the second game of the year. Based on what we have seen and heard, Austen is a far better player in practice than the game this past year. I am sure Herman thought Austen would have a better game against Iowa than he did.

Actually Mizouse87 it was, one of strengths consider our success at it this year was throwing interceptions.....
I truly hope this is AA's year.....the Rice qb really made a huge leap in his second year of the offense, but, AA's been through so much, i would love to see his hard work be rewarded.....
not to mention it would make a lot of us a lot happier on game day not having to talk about interceptions or really bad throws.....
