We have a chance..........

Wasn't Matt Roth still anchoring that line?

I'm not foolish enough to straight up predict an ISU win, I'm just saying that it seems really unlikely that Iowa wins the National Title next year.

Nope. Roth's senior year was 2004, along with Babineux. King and Kroul were the tackles, starting as freshman, and Mattison and Iwebema were sophomore starters on the outside.

I would agree with that last statement, but they'll be in the conversation before the season starts. Just be ready for it, because it's going to happen.

I can hardly wait for Keelers article..."HAWKS CLOBBER TECH!!! ...IN THE BIGGEST GAME THIS COUNTRY HAS EVER SEEN!!!" OH MY!!! I'M GOING HOMER N... (ooops!) I mean, I'M GOING HOME NOW!

"This game was not pretty... but that's what happens when two 10-2 teams get together & play. Infact, if these 2 teams played each other a dozen times... well, who'd really care." Isn't that right Sean?

I'm ready for it. Like I said, in 2005 there was a lot of talk about it. I've seen THAT before ("that" being a stream of discussion of Iowa being an NT contender). It seems that the higher the expectations in Iowa City, the more they become set up for a crash. I'd be stunned if Iowa lost 5 games next year, but I wouldn't be stunned if they lost 3.

Arizona will be tough, OSU will be tough, and Wisconsin brings back nearly everyone on offense. It's the same schedule as last year (they play each team in the same week), but all but one of the really tough games - Arizona - is in Iowa City.

For some reason I thought Roth was still around, and only the middles were replaced.

Do you think after tonight's performance that Clayborn doesn't take a long hard look at the NFL? I know he said he's staying, but that was a big time performance on a big stage. Is he as good as Suh? No, but that's like saying Allen Iverson wasn't as good a basketball player as Michael Jordan.

Clayborne if he (Clayborne) went into the draft

Clayborn isn't going to the draft, and I don't know that Clayborn is one the top 5 defensive ends in the country. He's certainly better than Derrick Morgan, who was pimped to no end by Todd McShay before this game.

I don't even know if Morgan got on the stat sheet tonight.

Gratz Hawk players, coaches and fans. They kicked GT's A@@ tonight, no doubt about it.

I'm envious of their fans as I watch all this amazing post-game coverage of the game in HD on the Big 11 Network :(

What did ISU get after its bowl win? The local news I think.

Lucky bastards.

He isn't right now, but it's not really fair to compare a player in his junior year to a senior. There is no reason at all to think that he can't get on Suh's level next season.

We've seen flashes of Clayborn being able to take over a game the way Suh did the Texas game.
