First round pick?... do you think he solidfied a first round pick??? I would think maybe a mid second
He's in the top 5 players at his position on nearly every draft board, so yeah he's probably a first round guy.

Damn you... I was refreshing all night to be the 1000th post. I turn my head for one minute and lose concentration and I lose... :sad:One more............
Wasn't Matt Roth still anchoring that line?
I'm not foolish enough to straight up predict an ISU win, I'm just saying that it seems really unlikely that Iowa wins the National Title next year.

Nope. Roth's senior year was 2004, along with Babineux. King and Kroul were the tackles, starting as freshman, and Mattison and Iwebema were sophomore starters on the outside.
I would agree with that last statement, but they'll be in the conversation before the season starts. Just be ready for it, because it's going to happen.
I'm ready for it. Like I said, in 2005 there was a lot of talk about it. I've seen THAT before ("that" being a stream of discussion of Iowa being an NT contender). It seems that the higher the expectations in Iowa City, the more they become set up for a crash. I'd be stunned if Iowa lost 5 games next year, but I wouldn't be stunned if they lost 3.

Clayborne if he (Clayborne) went into the draft
For some reason I thought Roth was still around, and only the middles were replaced.
Do you think after tonight's performance that Clayborn doesn't take a long hard look at the NFL? I know he said he's staying, but that was a big time performance on a big stage. Is he as good as Suh? No, but that's like saying Allen Iverson wasn't as good a basketball player as Michael Jordan.
Clayborn isn't going to the draft, and I don't know that Clayborn is one the top 5 defensive ends in the country. He's certainly better than Derrick Morgan, who was pimped to no end by Todd McShay before this game.
I don't even know if Morgan got on the stat sheet tonight.
