Next year's schedule

UNI is a given next year... guranteed win... ill bet any amount of money... outside of that it is going to fun! the two game road stretch of OU, Texas always stinks, but what ever.

I've heard that too many times from too many fan bases...

I figure 2-2 in non conference and maybe 3 to 4 wins in conference. Kansas and Colorado will be non existant next year. Other than that, who knows how good Tech, Nebraska, KSU and Missouri will be.

I expect KU to drop off BIG time next year. They lose almost all of their offensive weapons and I haven't heard much about their replacements being world beaters. And I don't know if their defense has ever been good.

Why? On paper, why would this game be promising? They return a ton of starters.

Good thing games aren't play by "what's on paper" because if they were, we would have never beaten Iowa in 2005 when they were ranked 8th. My point being, Iowa is a rivalry game and even though it's in iowa city next year, it can still be considered a very winnable game. We also return a good core of starters, mainly AA and ARob.

I am calling 7 wins with a possible 8. Is the first game moved back to Saturday now or is it still Thursday. On the schedule it says Saturday but I was just wondering.

We still have a legit shot at 5 Big 12 north games. All 4 non con games. And Tech. thats 10 games we have a legit shot to win. Not complaining over here....

If we can hold on to WB and TH as coordinators for '10, '11, '12, 2012 could be our year cyclone fans. Like what kansas did in 2007. I think most of you believe that too

edit: 2012 ISU big 12 champs- just in time for the apacolypse

This year we lost to KSU and lost 2 out of 3 against the South.

Next year - turn the table on KSU and pull out a South win and we are ahead of the game.

I also like the chances against the North teams that we get at Jack Trice next year.

Speaking on North teams at the Jack, we could have a 2-year win streak over Nebraska after next year...........

You forget that the B11 is not a good conference this year... The B12 North is weak this year, but I would guess a team like KSU would be 3rd in the B11. (I think Penn State is one of the most overrated teams in college football)

I don't concede that the Big 10 is weak. Regardless, I was referring to the fact of Iowa winning 35-3 at JTS, having a lot of starters back on both sides of the ball and the game being at IC next year.

That is a nice schedule!!:yes::yes::yes::yes:

I'm hoping that 2012-2014 are the years CPR really turns this around. Rebuilding with our schedule the next two years will be difficult, but a good challenge. In another 2-3 years, he should really be hitting his stride with the coaching staff, system, and recruiting. I look forward to big things in a few years. If we can't get it done then, you have to wonder if we ever will...

The schedule for next year and even the year after has been discussed quite a bit. Won't be easy, the challenge should be fun.

Fun? The last several years haven't been fun and making the schedule as hard as it's ever been seems like we're moving the wrong way on the fun spectrum.

I'll be back in September to take your money.:wideeyed:

Yeah both years have great potential, but I'd rather have Iowa and Okie state at home in 13-14 season. Either way if by any chance we can pull out a couple of years with 5+ wins i think we'll be in position to do some damage.

Can we recruit on the fact that the next two years you'll be learning a system and be primed in years three and four to take us to the next level?

I think the jury is still out on Jones at OU. He has looked okay but has had his struggles too.
