Sherron's stock dropped like a rock in the post season.
77 points on 55% shooting in 3 games will do that to you.
I understand that there is no requirement to have the slightest clue what you're talking about on these boards, but perhaps there should be.
ISU loses stars like Wesly Johnson, KU loses bench players.
FWIW, KU would have had Darrell Arthur, Julian Wright, Brandon Rush, and Mario Chalmers all playing for them if they didn't lose stars. They were just lost in a different manner. Also, I didn't realize that Wes Eikmeier and Clinton Mann were stars. They sure didn't play like it.
Actually, both of these KU transfers, when they committed, would have likely got playing time. After Appleton committed, Tyshawn Taylor changed his mind from Marquette to KU, and he beat out Appleton for time. After Thomas committed, KU secured commitments from the Morris twins, who were the 2nd and 3rd best bigs for KU. Quintrell might have had a shot to start had the team been the same as when he committed.
I'm not sure what the transfer rules are, but if I were McDermott, I'd at least put a call in to Quintrell Thomas. He could be a nice player in a year or two.
