Anyone know much about this kid? He has balled out at every camp he has been at and has been invited to The Opening finals. He has good size and quickness at 6'2 and is over 180 Pounds. Seems like Iowa is keeping tabs on him but I have heard nothing of Iowa State even slightly looking at him. Is it a case of the staff seeing something they don't like, or is he a lifelong Hawk fan? Seems like he is a kid we want to be on sooner rather than later.

Watched the fight this morning. Anthony Joshua got absolutely destroyed.

6. WV (All Black) I actually really like these, but put them here since black is not one of our colors.
7. Iowa (R-W-R)
8. OU (R-R-R)
9. TCU (Chrome R-W-W) not a fan of chrome helmets, although it's not bad with all white.
10. Baylor (B-R-R) last and definitely least. I don't like mixing the black with anything else.

Draft is tomorrow, should be a fun summer with all the newcomers to the roster. Guessing the FIBA team could be a conflict for Haliburton, but otherwise, with 2 max per team, that still leaves you have a full leagues worth of scholarship guys for ISU.

Which begs the question, with Haliburton probably overseas with U19, what's your mocks look like?

I went to Buzzard Billy's and had the crawfish platter and a couple of Des Moines IPAs. I'm going to be fat as a pig by the time football season rolls around! Man, am I enjoying checking out the Des Moines food scene.

Not too much to pass along from the morning session of camp but here's a couple things.

*** Probably the most interesting guy to keep an eye on this morning was Ankeny Centennial offensive lineman Brady Petersen. The staff has been evaluating him for awhile and almost all the offensive coaches (and Matt Campbell) pulled him aside at different times during the session. He hasn't tweeted anything about an offer at this point but this was certainly an important day in whether or not he will get one. I'll possibly hear more on the situation this afternoon so I'll update if I do. This is definitely a stay tuned situation.

*** I can safely say Greene County OT (and ISU commit) Tyler Miller is the physically biggest prospect I've ever seen at one of these camps. I already knew he was a massive human being as he's listed at 6-foot-9, 273 pounds, but wanted to see him in person. He is every bit that big. He towered over everyone else at the camp and was impressive during drills, especially the one-on-ones at the end.

*** Kuemper Catholic defensive end Blaise Gunnerson will be the main attraction at camp tonight. From what I've heard, this is pretty squarely an Iowa State and Nebraska battle at this point.

*** Iowa State commits Aidan Bouman and Cole Pedersen were the program's first two commits in the 2020 class and they'll be at camp tonight as well. I'll have an update from everything that goes on during that session sometime late tonight.

Rathjen is #7 at 126 and a sophomore from Ankeny and wrestles for Sebolt
Van Ness is #2 at 132 and a sophomore.

Note that Van Ness does not have a lot of freestyle experience according to Flo

Dodger - some of what you say is true. But Iowa is a national brand at least according to sports publications and Forbes. ISU will have more graduates in Iowa because they can’t get jobs outside of Iowa. That is a fact. And if anyone thinks Campbell will be around in a couple years then I will have some of what you are smoking. Hell Pollard will probably be gone. ISU is nothing more than a stepping stone. Can anyone say Chizek, Fred and Cael? And 2 of those 2 are Clones. Chizek got a prominent SEC job after winning 5 games in 2 years. That is the perception for ISU. Winning 5 games in 2 years is seen outside of Story County as a success. It will always be a Hawkeye St.

I prefer to make lists for shopping on paper rather than my phone. That way I don't have to keep waking the phone up or running down the battery - and I find it a little easier to organize my list that way.
