Friday OT - Shady Doings (or Situational Moral Ambiguity)

So, due to what I think is a clerical error on the part of several people at an airline, Janny and I got free round trip for two and a bit of an additional credit for the future (when I think the credits should maybe have been much smaller). I normally would be horrified at keeping it, but I've been rationalizing it to myself that we got credits at all due me having just horrific service on three different trips, and that the tickets we got were on planes that were currently 95% empty, so it isn't like we're stealing from someone else.

Is there anything that you have received for free that you felt slightly icky about? Could you rationalize it to yourself? How so?

OT: Is Toy Story the best movie franchise ever?

After seeing Toy Story 4 tonight I got to thinking...is this the best movie franchise ever? There are spectacular franchises but almost all of them that I can think of have one dud/one that just isn't as 'great' as the others.

I'm sure people will say Star Wars, Alien, Terminator, Lord of the Rings, The Godfather, 007, Marvel, etc.

But at this moment, I am not sure anything is as good OVERALL than the Toy Story franchise with every installment so well made and so highly regarded. My runner up would be Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy.

Donate Old Shoes?

So I've been letting old pairs of shoes add up since college, and am trying to figure out the best way to get rid of them. Mainly worn out running shoes/sneakers and old work shoes.

Are there any good places in the metro that will accept old shoes? I was thinking of taking the old running/sport shoes to Play it Again Sports, but wasn't sure if a place like Goodwill or Hope would be good places to take the rest.

TIA.

NBA: *** Official NBA Draft Thread ***

Might as well get this started.

Hopefully a Cyclone or two gets drafted. Most likely won't happen until the second round but stranger things have happened in the NBA.

I see Zion Williamson is being sued for $100 million already. Apparently he signed a contract with a marketing agency right after he declared and then decided to go with another agency a month later. He says the first contract was unlawful in North Carolina.. I guess we'll need the court to determine that.

Meth fueled attack squirrel

https://whotv.com/2019/06/20/alabam...el-posts-facebook-video-featuring-a-squirrel/

"When authorities executed a search warrant at an apartment, they say they found meth, drug paraphernalia, body armor, and a caged squirrel. Ronnie Reynolds, 37, was arrested during the search.

Sources told the sheriff's office that Paulk fed the squirrel meth to help keep it aggressive and trained it to attack people.

Animal control officials were called to retrieve the squirrel but since there wasn't a safe way to test it for meth they released the squirrel into the wild, according to WHNT."
