What the hell is growing in my yard?

I’ve got some kind of weird bug or fungus or some alien substance growing in my yard. Looks like a small 6in in diameter spiderweb of some kind but is almost more fine than that. Looks like a tiny cloud burrowed in my grass. I don’t see any spiders in them. First found them all over my front yard when I got back from a vacation. Mowed over them and thought that was that. They are starting to come back in random places around my yard now and creeping towards the back. Any idea what this could be? Do I need to spray for them?TIA

Athletic Article on Pac-10 Play for Pac-16

Good article on the history of the Pac-10 trying to poach the Big 12 and form a Pac-16 Superconference. Written by our old friend Ubben.

https://theathletic.com/1083080/2019/07/22/pac-16-conference-realignment-2010-big-12/

For those that don't have Athletic, bottom line, Texas was really not that interested in the Pac-10 pitch and committed back to the Big 12 once Tier 3 rights were allowed to be owned by the school. Funny in hindsight that it is now the Pac-12 that is a dumpster fire.

But....Athletic also says they are going to do a four-story update on future conference realignment. Sigh.

Minnesota & Fleck

The Daniel Jackson thread had a Minnesota mention (the other Daniel Jackson) and it piqued my curiosity so I checked out Athlon's Minn prediction which is 5th in the B1G West this season.

What's the deal with row boat?... Was he hired at the same time as Campbell? IIRC he was the sexiest of sexy names getting hired when he did. Not that Athlon is gospel but I'd presume he would be doing better than that by now if he was the star everyone thought he was.

Any Clones (or Hawks) in the Cities with any insight?

Will question

I've embarrassed to say that I've never had a will. With that said, we've decided that it's time and will probably schedule something with a lawyer in the next couple of weeks. We don't have any kids. We do have a 4 year old niece that we'd like to leave 90% of our assets to but we want to make sure that her mother doesn't see a cent. How would you structure something like this? Give her a certain amount at different stages of her life? I know that I didn't have a clue about money at 18 or 25 and would have just blown the money.

Cody Candelaria signs with Otero J.C. wrestling

https://www.daily-times.com/story/s...delaria-signs-otero-j-c-wrestling/1748150001/

AZTEC – Aztec's Cody Candelaria is persistent when going on the attack, which convinced Otero Junior College’s wrestling program he can contribute immediately.

“I take (opponents) down time after time. Then in the middle of the match, they lose determination and they break,” said Candelaria, who signed with the Rattlers today via athletic scholarship. “If I feel that they’re broken, then I’m going to keep taking shots until they can’t really defend (themselves).”

Candelaria, who won two individual state titles in 2017 and 2019, said his takedowns will keep serving him well while on the mat.

Going forward, however, Candelaria also said he wants to be more active throwing his foes to the sides.

“It’ll open up my shot. I’ll be able to drop my shot easier,” Candelaria said. “I want to be able to dominate in every part of the match. I know that I can do things over there that those (opposing) kids aren’t ready for.”

After a year or two at Otero, which is located in La Junta, Colorado, Candelaria said he looks to transfer to a big-name NCAA Division I wrestling program such as Rutgers, Nebraska, Iowa State or Penn State.
