Criticism of LeBron at Son's Game

This has become quite the hot topic on Twitter. As LeBron's son, Bronny, starts playing on the AAU circuit some have become critical of LeBron's antics on the sideline, dunking in the layup line, etc. This clip has seemed to garner the most criticism:

In my mind, it's hard to criticize someone who is supporting his kid. Running onto the court is maybe a bit much, but hey, he's pumped for his kid.

Cyclone Mobile Pass?

Is this a good deal or not? I bought a Mini-pack a couple years ago and really liked it. The problem was that it was sometimes hard to find someone to go to the game with. Usually have a few friends with tailgates that I can crash, so even going alone would be okay with me.

Anyone do this last year? How did it work out?

Which player are you most excited to watch this year?

Who is the player(s) you are all most excited to see this upcoming season? Whether it be an established player like Bailey who will be setting career records, or a youngster who has barely played thus far, let's talk about the players who everyone is pumped to see this year. I think my answer would be Tarique Milton. It will be interesting to see if he can fill some of the big-play ability we lost with Butler leaving for the NFL.

I know @baller1 is especially excited to see what Assalley is bringing to the table this year.

Day 2 draws of Cadet Worlds - Facundo gets Bronze

https://www.flowrestling.org/articles/6547490-day-ii-draws-at-cadet-worlds

71KG - Alex Facundo, MI
Opening Bout - Shokhrukh Juraev (UZB)

Juraev was the Asian Runner-Up to Vijay (IND), who is also in Facundo's quad.

Also in Facundo's Half - If there's one wrestler on our team that had to go through the meat grinder, we'd probably pick Facundo. He's in the bottom half and it's loaded. But make no mistake; as the only returning medalist in the bracket, Facundo is the big dog here.

He opens with Juraev and then likely gets Russia's Soslan Tigiev after Tigiev beats Italy. Vijay would be next in the quarters.

In the final quad, which feeds into Facundo's semifinal, the top contenders all did well at Euro's - Runner-Up Davit Kutchuashvili (GEO), Bronze medalist Menua Yeribekyan (ARM) and 5th placer Lilian Balan (MDA).

Top Half - The top half is pretty thin and features just a couple contenders. One is Euro 5th Iglesias (ESP). Another is Kuanyshbay (UZB) who was Bronze at Asians. Iran's Valipour is also up top.

Brody Brecht- Ankeny HS

This kid is a stud and has an offer from ISU. The thing that we have against us is he wants to play baseball in college also. He wants to be a 2 sport guy. He is only a sophomore this year and just threw a no hitter in the regional final to go to state for Ankeny. With the success ISU has had at WR I would hope that would help.

Casey's Card Reader not Working

I live on North side or CR and occasionally stop by Casey's in Robbins. Their card readers have not worked at any of their pumps for at least 90 days. That's crazy. It's not a huge store but they have 6 pumps and very little competition within 4-5 miles. I hate having to prepay and probably will do everything I can not to stop there again. Their employees say "we are on the list" for upgrades.

This has got to be costing them significant business. Just curious if this is happening at any of their other locations.

Tailgating Hacks

I'm sure everyone has their list and supplies for tailgating items. We have a tote (grill, propane, larger items), a sterlite pull out drawers unit (spices, consumables, etc.) full of things for tailgating and extreme cooler.

Our supplies usually include the following but not limited to:
Propane tank and spare (small cylinders)
Paper towers, plates, napkins, silverware
Aluminum foil
Seasonings
Grill utensils
Trash bags
Clorox wipes
Food
Drinks

What is one thing you have discovered that is a must have for tailgating to make things easier/better?

Ours was using one of those sterlite pull out drawer organizers for all the small stuff (seasonings, utensils, paper plates, garbage bags, aluminum foil, etc.) We just lay it on its back when driving so stuff doesn't go all over and just set it up right when we get there. Here is an example:

Pete Mundo's podcast got me thinking

No Strings attached, I say yes. Because, regional games that fans can travel to would be amazing!

Basketball Hoop

I just spent a few grand getting a new patio poured in the backyard, now it's time to put in a hoop. My wife plans to use the patio for "entertaining" and the like, so wants me to get a portable system rather than an in ground.

Anyone have a decent goal on wheels that is solid and doesn't cost a mint?

Nebraska Eyes 155-Member Football Team

An interesting 3-story series in the Omaha World Herald analyzes how Scott Frost is working towards the days of yesteryear when the Nebraska football squad numbered close to 200...back when he played. Title 9 makes this tough as obviously, any increase in football numbers requires equal increases to women's numbers. To do so, Nebraska is adding significant walk-on numbers to the Women's Cross Country and Swimming teams. For example, the cross country team is going from a normal 15-17 member squad to 30. The swimming team is going from a normal 25-30 member squad to 50. This allows for 35 additional football walk-ons.

Per the stories, the women walk-ons will likely never see varsity competition, but they do enjoy the normal perks of being a team member...equipment, coaching, training table for meals, etc. And, adding walk-ons is much cheaper than adding another sport with paid coaches, etc.

Interesting series...you wonder how other schools treat this.

Viking-inspired pub opening in East Village Des Moines on July 31

Looking forward to this!

Des Moines’ first Nordic-inspired bar is set to open its doors to the public on at 11 a.m. July 31. SKØL, located at 401 SE 5th Street in Des Moines, is the next concept of Full Court Press, Inc. in its "saga" of thematic and restaurants and bars in the greater Des Moines area.

Touted as a “pub of pure imagination,” SKØL is located on the corner of Southeast 5th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. The walls are adorned with shields and antlers to pay homage to Eikþyrnir, the stag that guards the Great Hall of Valhalla in Asgard.

Sprayed by skunk

So last night our dog had the unfortunate event of being sprayed by a skunk. Somehow, my girlfriend didnt realize it before the dog was in the house, so the house still has the slight smell of skunk cause we have cleaned and had the windows open all day. Anybody have the same unfortunate event happen? How did you remove the scent from the home and the dog?
