Historical opportunity with no downsides

The upcoming game against Iowa provides perhaps the biggest opportunity for isu in decades. The hardwork of the last two seasons is reflected in the top-25 ranking, gameday exposure amplifies this hugely, and the match-up is against the instate rival with big implications for future trajectory of the isu program.

If isu can live up to the ranking by knocking off Iowa this time around, it pretty much imo completes cmc's efforts to rid the program's historical reputation. So I expect cmc has put the off week to good use and will swing boldly for the fences.

Tactically, I expect first half Purdy will play pocket qb taking deep shots against Iowa's thin and suspect secondary (particularly safeties). In the second half, Purdy will transform into becoming extremely mobile against a more fatigued D. Defensively, isu must blitz all game long.

All said, losing against Iowa won't hurt much but the upside to winning is bigtime.

StubHub vs Ticketmaster

I just listed some tickets online and was surprised by the difference in fees. Fees seem to be a quite a bit cheaper with ISU's resale through Ticketmaster than StubHub. I wonder how many people looking on the secondary market know about Ticketmaster or if they automatically go straight to StubHub. Still the cheapest way to buy is without fees through here or Facebook, but that can be a hassle.

StubHub - 15% seller fee, 25% buyer fee
Ticketmaster - 10% seller fee, 15% buyer fee

Tailgate plans for AmesDay

My crew is wondering if we will spend our time at our tailgate setup in the C4 lot or the crowd around the ESPN set. It makes some difference on our plans, to include tailgate TV setup. Normally we use an OTA antenna and watch whatever game is on broadcast, but in this case we will want to watch ESPN Gameday if we are at our tailgate spot.

I’ve read that the ESPN set will be between Scheman and Hilton. Do you think on one of the elevated platforms? That would provide an amazing view of the backdrop of all the north lots, the back of the scoreboard and the stadium.

I’m just curious how all your tailgate plans are adjusting based on ESPN Gameday.

FS: SOLD: I have 3 lower level, section 17 tickets for sale

These are with my family so I really want them to go to Cyclones.

Going for upwards of 500 a piece on third party sites right now. I am asking $250 or best offer to assure it goes to an Iowa State fan. Will swallow the rest.

Section 17, Row 31, seats 19, 20 and 21. PM me if interested. I can transfer them to you through ISU or meet with them in Ames sometime this week.

ISO Iowa Tix

i assume because of demand it’s impossible but I am looking for 2 tickets at not the ridiculously inflated prices I’ve seen. They are for my son and I. I am a 1996 Civil Engineering grad. Bringing my 15 year old son to Game Day thought we might catch the game also since we are driving from KC.

WTB 2 Tix to ISU vs Iowa

Ok fellow Cyclones fans, let's make this happen.

My wife and I are both huge Cyclones fans but she's become a complete junkie in recent years following all kinds of websites, forums, Twitter accounts, etc. - anything to keep connected and plugged into all things CYCLONES!

Anyway, like a lot of fans we've been trying to score tix to the upcoming ISU vs Iowa game and none moreso than her. She's signed up for giveaways, following forums, checking ticket resale sites, signed up for Reply-Buy - you name it and she's been looking to get some tix.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, so what? Right?

Well, what makes her efforts more admirable, at least to me, is that she was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer back in April - it came completely out of left field - and she's been through a TON of crap since then with multiple hospital stays, so many tests and scans, radiation treatments and she just completed her 9th of at least 12 rounds of chemotherapy.

Yet, despite the toll it's taken on her both physically and mentally, here she is, still wanting to get out there and cheer on the Cylclones!

Honesty, she's incredible and I'd like nothing more than to be able to get a couple tickets just to get her into Jack Trice for the big game!

I know tickets are high and while we don't need great seats I'm willing to spend a bit to make it happen but within reason.
