Investment Buckets

I’m a recent 23 YO college grad with no college debt.

What is everyone doing for investment allocations to 401k/IRA/Savings etc?

I’ve been maxing out my Roth IRA and traditional 401k then putting anything left in savings. 99% index funds and 1% bonds in all accounts. Have an emergency fund in a High Yield Savings account built up and am living pretty cheaply compared to a lot of my coworkers...trying to save now so I don’t have to worry later.

What are you doing for retirement and other savings goals? Curious to hear some other perspectives.

Water Heater Issue - Replacement Advice?

Hello. I have two water heaters in my basement that are both at least 15 years old. One of them is occasionally pushing a little bit of water out of the "pressure" release valve (I don't have knowledge in this area so the terminology is probably incorrect). I am guessing it is time to replace the water heater and probably time to replace both. My question for anyone with knowledge in this area is whether or not I should put 2 new water heaters in or should I do tankless? Any advice would be great! We are a family of five (3 young children so the water usage isn't diminishing in the near future). Again...any advice on going tankless (what is the cost of installing one) vs replacing two water heaters would be appreciated! I will try to attach a photo of the utility room showing the setup. Thanks!

Computer is running slow

Or more specifically, it’s kind of hiccuping. It’s not necessarily slow, but when it will occasionally like, “freeze” for a few seconds. Always when I pull up my web browser. Chrome suddenly became unusable for me a few weeks back. Just kept timing out as it loaded. Downloaded Firefox and it works fine, other than the occasional hiccups, but it’s not always when I’m in my browser.

I’ve run a full scan for viruses and malware and all that’s popped up is a couple of trackers. Did the power eraser and if found no threats. More than enough space still in my hard drive. There’s nothing running in the background that takes up a ton of space or usage. Any suggestions on what it could be or what to try to do to fix it?

Nassau all inclusive for Honeymoon

We leave for our honeymoon next Monday. It is an all inclusive in Nassau, yes I know bad timing with hurricane season and everything, but Nassau made it through Dorian. Does anyone have any advice on things to do or not do in Nassau? We want to do some excursion type things and a little site seeing, probably snorkeling for sure, but anything else? Also any last minute wedding advice (besides "don't do it")?

Natural Grass vs Artificial/Field Turf

Sorry .... turf management lovers

~ It's time to REPLACE our grass field.

~ Looks dull on TV
~ It doesn't hold up with the elements in September.
~ Grass goes dormant, in October, and looks terrible in November
~ Purdy slipped late in the game on a rollout in the backfield---stopping a drive in Iowa territory
~ Iowa running backs would of been stopped for no gain, or short yardage several times in the 4th qtr--yet turned them into 12-14 yard gains while our linebackers/dbacks were slipping all over (watch the replay)
~ This week calls for more RAIN from Tuesday-Saturday in Ames, and another crappy field for Louisiana-Monroe

When is this bizarre love-affair with grass going to end ? Good gawd. Why our we concerned with offending our Turf Management department?

Look at other stadiums---in November--at NIGHT. Their fields look fantastic in person w/ FieldTurf, and fantastic on TV.

Best Cell Service inside game and tailgaiting?

What is the best cell service that people use during the tailgate and game and what issues did you have. With 60k to 100k people around a small area I can understand that problems with communication can arise. But with everyone trying to download radars to see the rain, to twitter, Facebook, and Instagram it became difficult. I have US Cellular and was able to text and call but everything else was totally un-accessible. Is there something better out there.
