Best and Worst Fans

I've been to several road games over the years and generally was treated well by the home team fans. My best experience as a visitor were at Mizzou and Texas A&M. One time when we were looking for the ISU pre-game party a A&M Cadet actually walked us to the location. Worst experiences were at UNLV, bad stadium, bad fans, and Nebraska. Had a Husker fan come up to me and say "You know you're taking a seat away from a Husker fan by being here?" Not to mention there was one men's room for the entire stadium, consisting of open troughs on the floor. Let's hear your stories.

Since our ADs have asked us to be extra nice to each other......

I thought I'd come over here and post some really nice comments Iowa OC Brian Ferentz said about ISU DC Jon Heacock. I would also add that I agree with him and think you guys have maybe the best defense we will play this year (at least unless Iowa makes it to Indianapolis):

They have a tremendous football coaching staff. Their defensive coordinator, Jon Heacock, is in my opinion one of the better coordinators in probably college football. I don't know where he ranks on that deal, but I know there are famous guys, like Brent Venables gets a lot of publicity. When I turned on Clemson the first week, they were playing Jon Heacock's defense.

I think he's a pretty good coach, and he certainly threw some things at us that we didn't expect and that we had not anticipated or prepared for.

Cheers and good luck in the Big 12.

What is in this green lot?

After Jamie's announcement on the new building plan I went to look at the campus map.

What is this green shaded lot to the west of campus?

I know Westgate was just south of here where the parking lot was (my mother lived there when she was at ISU) but did Iowa State actually own that two/three block area at one point.

Additionally... never heard of Lynn Fuhrer Lodge... anyone ever use that while they were in school? I haven't been a student there since 2009 so maybe this is something newer?

How about we quit building

stuff and let us have free stuff. KU vs ISU basketball on ESPN plus is my last straw. I won’t be nearly as invested in college sports if they keep raising ticket prices and making us pay to watch the Clones. Not worth it. I’ll find other things to do. I know some will blast me but there is to
Much free stuff to do. I know it’s all about money now but
Man I miss the old days.

Plus ISU vs KU deserves big
Monday or at least on ESPN.

**SOLD***3 Lot C4 Passes For ULM FB $50 Each

I have 3 Lot C4 passes for $50 each. Venmo or cash. Ankeny but I'm around the metro and even Ames for work usually. Message me if interested.

I can do the rest of the season on one of them (C4) including ULM. I have a C1/C2 pass that I could do the rest of the season without ULM. Or if you want a specific game this season I might be able to sell one of them ahead of time. For the season or a future game you'll have to make an offer.

New Wrestling Practice Facility (In Regards to Pollard's Announcement)

Haven't seen this discussed yet, but looks like they are hoping to include new wrestling and volleyball practice facilities with the "Pollard & Light" district. I think this would be huge for recruiting and also continuing the momentum of the program. Not to mention it would be a lot closer to the Student Athlete Performance Center they are currently building right outside of Jack Trice. I know we as wrestling fans have been hard on Pollard about not caring about wrestling, but it is very exciting he is now investing in the program (and even singling wrestling out with football and basketball in the press conference), and giving Dresser all the tools he needs to succeed here and build up a national title contender!
