Hawkeye Media having difficultly with win

not gonna blast them here, but they are having a hard time with the reality seen on the field. IMO it’s really this; Yep ISU lost, but they were the best looking team on the field.

Many exposed themselves in Twitter.... mostly calling the end of the series. Which is what we knew would be the cry as things shift to competency.

Weird history - natural gas - nuclear fracking...

I am un-apologetically in the natural gas business and fully support the maximum optimization of all our energy sources. That said, I found this article and was slobber-knocked as I'd never heard of this ever.

I'm stymied how this could have gotten any further than a guy saying "I have an idea" but it was heard and acted upon... REALLY neat look at our recent past.

And no, I do not support nuclear fracking.

The Best Team Lost...Again

I'm tired of it happening, but TOE has to be the luckiest group I've ever seen. I went back and watched some of it again (as painful as it was) and it just jumps off the screen how much better we are than them. Yet somehow, we would have some bogus penalty, or some other crazy play to kill our momentum. I feel like we would beat them 9 out of 10 times, but it's their Superbowl, so they can have it and be mediocre all year. Let's get to the Big 12 title game.

Massey Ratings have ISU going 4-8

I don’t use these ratings very often but I find it interesting he predicts the record to finish at 4-8. He projects wins vs ULM and Baylor, 6 consecutive losses, a win vs Kansas, and then a loss to K-State to finish the year. Take into consideration the margin on the losses are very tight.
Not posting to overreact, but I think we can all agree the bottom of the big 12 is stronger than we thought it would be and there are no gimmes on the schedule after ULM.

NFL: ***Official Week Three Thread***

Titans @ Jacksonville tonight for their annual Thursday night classic. Maybe Jalen Ramsey's last game as a Jaguar if he plays at all. Seems like the smart thing to do if they're exploring trade options would be to sit him and avoid the injury risk.

Games I'm looking forward to:

BAL @ KC - Potential playoff game preview?
LA Rams @ CLE - Good measuring stick game for the Browns. Are they for real or not?

That's about it. Pretty lackluster slate of games. Saints @ Seahawks looked better before Brees got hurt.

Coffee expertise needed

I know nothing about coffee, I just drink what they give me for free at work. I do know that I'm not a fan of watered down coffee, I want something rich and with a kick.

If you were a newbie like me and you want to experiment with different beans, what would you recommend? Where is the best place in DSM to get beans? What should I be looking for? I'm assuming that I'm better off buying local rather than online?
