Lack of a running game

It seems like when we have a RB start getting into a groove, that player stops getting the ball. Kene has been banged up a bit, but there have been times where he has looked pretty good and then doesn't get touches. Lang was having a decent game against Baylor early on and then didn't get any touches again until late. Croney… well he's just not very good. And I don't think Hall and Brock should get into any games if it's just for a play or two. Brock got in for one play against Baylor. What was the point of that? One of those two, if not both, should redshirt if they're not gonna get carries.

Here are the carries by game, not counting QB's:

BAYLOR (15)
J. Lang - 6
S. Croney - 6
K. Nwangwu - 3

ULM (22)
S. Croney - 9
J. Brock - 5
B. Hall - 5
K. Nwangwu - 2
J. Lang - 1

IOWA (9)
K. Nwangwu - 6
J. Lang - 2
B. Hall - 1

UNI (42)
J. Lang - 14
S. Croney - 13
B. Hall - 11
K. Nwangwu - 4

I personally don't feel that the RB's are being utilized properly. With Kene's open field abilities, why is he not being used out of the backfield in the passing game? Same with Hall.

OT: Best budget-friendly 65-inch 4k TV?

Looking to buy a 65-inch tv and have no clue which is the best option. I don't want something that craps out on us after a year. But I realize for what we are wanting to pay that might happen. There are several 65 inch tvs at Target/Best Buy/Amazon under $550 and we are days away from pulling the trigger but have no idea which brand to go for and why.

What we are hoping for/wanting:

  • Great picture quality
  • Very minimal glare
  • Alexa-enabled would be nice but not a must at all
  • Sporting events look awesome
  • Solid sound
I keep hearing good things about TCL but then looking at reviews there are quite a few saying a certain version crapped out after a year so that isn't good.

LG or Samsung is kind of where we are at but not sure which and why. And if TCL is great, then by all means say so. And what about a brand like Hisense?

Any thoughts/suggestions appreciated. Again, I KNOW that quality is going to be better the more expensive it is. But we just aren't wanting to pay over that $550 mark at this time and know that could mean lower quality and lifespan...

TIA

Play calling and personnel problems

The sky is not falling, but between this game and the Iowa game I’ve noticed our personnel is a bunch of pussies and plays too conservatively until we are losing by a lot and it’s usually that our offense does just enough to rely on our defense too much to close out the game. I wish this personnel would wake up and let our offense sling it from the start of the game because we would’ve beat Iowa and Baylor if our personnel were not a bunch of pussies and let our guys sling it from the start. Thoughts? 2-2 is unacceptable to be honest.

ESPN article on FH at UNL

I am not a Hoiberg clinger-on. Sure, I really enjoyed him at ISU and especially the success he attained. I am as supportive and happy with Steve Prohm. I don't wish Fred mis-fortune but I am not going out of my way to cheer for them either. In general, I hope he does well, while the football team continues to flounder.

Things that bother me...

1. The line for the Baylor game stinks. 6-7 point movement on this line with almost all the money going on ISU. If we cover, casinos take a bath on this game.
2. Can we please eliminate all threads dealing with Iowa, I have CyHawk fatigue.
3. Big XII power rankings, when some teams haven’t even played a conference game.
4. Running back threads- we are averaging 5.5 YPC this year vs 3.4 the previous 2 years. We will be fine.
5. Where did the Midweek Mailbag go? I have questions that need answers.
