Halloween costumes

Happy Halloween! My favorite holiday, of course.

I normally dress up every year, even if I work that night, but not this year. Still got all the lights off here at work, got some candles lit, and watching horror flicks like usual....

What costumes are you guys rockin' tonight?

My son made a Joey Jordison mask to go with his Slipknot jumpsuit.

***2023-2024 College MBB Survivor game***

I’ve been running a thread tracking the undefeated teams in men’s NCAA basketball for several years now, and have been thinking about making a friendly contest out of it. So I’m going to try it this year & see if it’s worth making it an annual game like the football survivor games and games around football bowls and the NCAA basketball tournament.

Rules:

*Week runs from Monday to Sunday. Week one begins November 6 and ends November 12.
*Pick up to three teams that will remain undefeated that week regardless of how many games they play.
*You cannot pick a given team more than once during the course of the game.
*You cannot pick a team that has lost a game (exhibition games are excluded)
*Any loss by one of their picked teams during that week eliminates the player.
*Failing to make any picks during a given week eliminates the player.
*All of your picks for a week (1,2 or 3) must be in the same post, and must be made before any of your picks tip off.

Exhibition games do not count, but midseason and end of season tournament games WILL count. Essentially, any game that will count against a team’s win/loss record will count. Exhibition games are games against D3 teams (or lower) that are not counted in a team’s win/loss count on ESPN. Example: in 2015 we played Grand Valley State. See post #18 for further clarification of which games count, and when.

I will post a list of remaining teams and players as soon as I can after the Sunday games are completed. The first couple of weeks, please be patient as there are a LOT of teams to be tracked.

Scoring:

5 pts for three correct picks

3 pts for 2 correct picks

1 pt for 1 correct pick

Winner is last player standing. In the event of a tie (given the number of teams, that's entirely possible), points will be the tie-breaker.

Please feel free to ask for clarification if you need it.

NFL: *** 2023 NFL Survivor Game Week 9 ***

You can switch as many times up until the game you have picked officially starts.
