Doc: I’m gonna go with Indian because the best things about elephants is the fable about all of the blind men touching it in different spots and thinking it’s different things and I think that came from Gandhi.

Doc: Fanatics, I tried to bring some class to the mailbag this week, but I’m only one man.
Pants: Class has no place in this hellscape of misfits and dirtbags.

@Sigmapolis asks: What is your favorite cult and why?
Pants: When I was in elementary school, I tried to create a religion if worship of me and just had the name be mostly my last name with -ite after it. It didn’t take off like I hoped it would. So probably The Brethren, because they’re just a bunch of lazy trash monsters, like me.
Doc: Children of God. They’ve been through a rebrand or two and are now known as “The Family”. They gave us Joaquin Phoenix and Christopher Owens, the frontman of the band “Girls”. They also believe that, if you happen to be one of those people that pleasures themselves, that you should imagine a deity there with you, helping you, as they say, “make the axhead float”. If you are a man you are supposed to pretend you are a woman because Jesus remains a man all of the time. Which is kind of cool. I think it’s important that we listen to other perspectives and viewpoints such as these.
GTO: Heaven’s Gate - for real. If you’re going the crazy cult route, go all the way committing mass suicide thinking that a spaceship is coming on the tail of a comet to pick up your spirit. Their logo game was on point as well:


@jcyclonee again: We just booked our family spring break trip to Mexico. How many of us come back alive this year?
GTO: This sounds just like the Donner Party, except people are served with a side of tortillas and refried beans. I say just 3 come back: you, the wife, and favorite kid.
Doc: My heart says 5, but my head says 3.
Pants: There’s 5, right? So 4 come back. Your son will disappear after trying to box a cartel with Hulk boxing gloves. @boxster is a pro with Mexico though. He could probably do an excursion to find your son.

@Angie with the follow up: Relevant question: are you taking your own carbon monoxide tester?
Doc: Is this important when going to Mexico?
Pants: Is this like a breathalyzer?
GTO: No, not a breathalyzer. The carbon monoxide tester is the one that is used to determine who “dealt it”. A bit more scientific than just assigning blame to whoever smelled it.
Doc: If you light a fart on fire and it burns blue, it is clean. Orange means it has CO in it.
GTO: Are clean farts kind of like “clean coal”?
Pants: Kind of, but only because, like with dirty coal, you can clean dirty farts with soap and water.

@BCClone asks: Can you have too much of a good thing?
Pants: Only if you’re me, and feel like you have to be punished for when things go well.
Doc: Yes, you sure can. Everything in moderation is my rule. A man has to have a code.

I couldn't make it to Ames Sunday to the dual, so I missed out on a wrestling pennant. Anyone have an extra they can send me? I'll pay for shipping etc.

Possible rule change on transfers for 2020-21. Didn't see this posted and thought maybe deserved it's own thread. Seems limited to those mutually agreed transfers but still might be a big deal for those individuals.

• Receive a transfer release from their previous school.
• Leave their previous school academically eligible.
• Maintain their academic progress at the new school.
• Leave under no disciplinary suspension.

And I am out now since this will likely turn into a hate-Prohm rally and EVERYONE will transfer freakout.

I will have some extras this year if anyone is interested in going down to Kansas City.

They will be in Section 202, 121 and 105 which pretty much covers all different price points. They will be available for individual sessions or All-Session passes although I would prefer to sell them as All-Session if possible. PM if interested. Hopefully we can get to 6-12 or 7-11 and play on Wednesday and Thursday in Kansas City.

Seen Dresser mentioned some of our starters are staying back Saturday to get matches. Any idea who else will be attending??

Casting out to the experts for a forecast of the Big 12 meet. I have never seen the conference this wide open. Certainly, Okie State is my favorite to win it but they are quite vulnerable. ISU and UNI can make a case to win this thing if it falls a certain way. I never would have made this argument a month ago but the performances last weekend gave me reason the re-think this.

What are the thoughts of others?

125 Hoping for 2nd Top 3 at worst?
133. Top 4
141. Chance to win it but no worse than 2nd?
149. Could win it but 2nd or 3rd is likely?

Anyone else find it odd that an infectious disease center is located in a largish population area with coast to coast interstate traffic. Seems odd not to find somewhere more remote to quarantine people known to be infected. Also odd to fly people confirmed to have the virus half way across the world. I know UNMC is equipped but they only have 20 rooms in the isolation area.

Looking to buy 3 bball tickets for the Texas Tech game. Preferably in the 200 level sections 202 or 201.

My father in law called and wants me to set up a TV in his garage. I haven’t dealt with Mediacom TV in like a decade. Is there a way to get mediacom without running coax? I see you can get it through your phone, tablet, etc but can you get it through Roku or FireTV? Do they have wireless boxes?

Planning a guys trip from KC for the first day of the NCAA tourney. Lakeside is the closest to us, but it was pretty sad when I visited last Fall. So, we're going to try council bluffs. Of Ameristar, Harrah's and Horseshoe, which has the best sportsbook?

We are by the Ames area and trying to find someone that is a good hitting coach for my daughter. Does anyone on here have anybody they are worked with in recently that they would recommend? She is in 8th grade and can kill the ball when she gets a hold of it but her coach shes had messed with her swing a few years and turned her hitting into more of a bunt style and now she can hardly hit to save her life. And no I don't think she is the next greatest thing to come in softball lol but i do want to get her with someone that can help her become the best she can be and enjoy the sport again. So any help is greatly appreciated.
