I have loved sports all my life. As a kid, I read every inch of the the newspaper sports page daily. I loved watching baseball, football, basketball and other sports on TV. Most of my free time was spent playing some type of sport/game. For much of my life sports have been entertainment and a source of enjoyment.

Now with social media available to us all, we get to interact and see the opinions of others during our favorite sporting events. After watching Brock play last night and having watched our football team so far this season, I was thinking about the impact social media has on my viewing experience. What are your thoughts?

Friday OT #2 - Dichotomies and Superlatives

Follow me on this one - I am not sure it is going to make sense.

I had a woman stood next to me this week at a mixer. Very nice lady, we chatted about the weather and other random niceties.

From the outside, I realized as we got a few glances, we must have looked incredibly different. She was legitimately well over 7 foot; I am 5’2” in shoes. Her hair is stick straight, mine is super naturally curly.

It made me think of how people would boil me down to compare me to others, and what one- or two-word adjectives they’d use.

Physically - short, fair, curly haired
Personality - dry/sarcastic, independent, stubborn

If someone had to boil you down to five or six adjectives to describe you, what would they say? How would they compare you against someone else?

Friday OT #1 - Faking It

I was just at a work conference this week that was almost entirely about the use of AI, with specific applications in certain industries. It was really interesting to hear some of the biggest technical minds of our generation, including a former CEO of Google, talk about how they use generative AI today and how they think it should be used going forward.

Do you use AI in your day-to-day? Yesterday I used it to:

- Help me write an empathetic business thank you note
- Seed the beginning wording of a personal bio
- Help me write a pun from an acronym

Those are pretty disparate uses - do you use it at all?

Shorting a Stock - Casey's (CASY)

Anyone on here know the convenient store business well? I am thinking about shorting Casey's. They are growing (have been for a while) outside of Iowa. As many other threads on here have stated, Casey's in Iowa is going to sh*t in all aspects.

I have been to a few of their stores outside of Iowa. It's not amazing but service and cleanliness seems a little better than the ones in Iowa. They seem to be growing way too fast. Their stock is up 30% on the year and I see a correction coming. Can they manage their leveraged debt if **** hits the fan?

Wi-Fi Calling - But Triggered with Modes and Routines (Android)

Got a random one for CF.
I like to use WiFi Calling when at home. Sure it is easy enough to toggle on and off.
I can't use WiFi Calling at work. Network won't let it. So if I forget to turn it off, I'm in a jam for a bit.

Question: using Android Modes and Routines, can anyone spot a way for Wifi Calling to trigger on when I am at home?

I have found it easy enough for the home location to be the trigger, but I haven't found WiFi Calling to be one of the things that can be an action. Any chance I am overlooking something?
