Interested in 2 SEZ Club tickets and parking pass. My wife’s younger sister is a UNI student (and ISU fan) and would like to take a friend to this weekends game. She could possibly meet in Cedar Falls.
Hey big guy, wondering if you’d ever consider moving back to the area? I have engineering positions opening up soon and thought I’d reach out.

Damn.... no I’m digging where I’m at nowadays. You know if anyone in the central Iowa area or back design engineers that might be interested?

How’s your gig going?

I know less and less people at DE these days. My gig is pretty good. I made a parallel jump in June so I'm a Project Manager now in our Facilities group. Just hire smart people and boss them around, pretty much. I started grad school in August, so that's fun.
I'll buy your seats. Where do you live? How do I get them? My 80 year old parents are going to be here. Pretty excited
Saw your post on the 32/hr work week and being in the construction industry and 50 hrs per week at your position. I was there with you and took a government engineering job in Ames and haven’t worked over 50 hrs/week since (and I get overtime for anything over 40/week). I have some positions opening up soon so if you’d be interested in learning more, shoot me a note.
At least some connection? Here's another possibility: Simon & Garfunklel "Sounds of Silence" is referenced/connected/nodded to by Rush's "Spirit of Radio" SG: "for the words of the prophet are written on the subway walls..." Rush: "...are written on the studio wall, concert hall.." (neener neener neerer, drum solo, Alex riff, continued Rush awesomeness...)
How much are you asking for your ticket? I can guarantee I am not a hawk. In fact I can guarantee you sell to an ISU alum AND my grandfather was even on the team with Jack Trice!
Will gladly for buy your tic for my brother. we are both ISU grads from the 80's. he really hates the hawks. 100. bucks?
I see your three tickets for Saturday’s game are now marked sold?

Yes, sorry. Someone was interested in all three of the tickets and had been working with me through personal message and not within the thread.

Thanks for your interest. Hope you find another ticket and can enjoy the game.
this might be a OTN, or off topic, but some of were at a Colorado Rockies game and were judging the players "walk Up song". What is yours?
there is a guy for the Nationals that uses Baby Shark and the crowd loves it. who knows why he chose it.

My guy is Charlie Blackmon. Comes to the plate to Your Love by The Outfield.

Exactly! Blackmon's is great.

I know there was a guy for Rangers who had baby shark as his walk up because he has a young son.
Thanks for the topic suggestion for OTN. Definitely some potential. There used to be what were called "Answer Songs" Like "Get a Job" had an answer song "I Got a Job". And "King of the Road" got "Queen of the House." Also would have to figure out whether to allow parodies like Weird Al..

I'll run it by the other two guys and see what they think.

Any other songs you can think of that fit the category?

I'll think about it...!
I saw in an old post that you liked Old George's Pizza in Ames.

I am trying to remember the last name of George that used to own the restaurant. I know it was a Greek last name, but I can't recall what it was. I was looking for another Old George's fan that might remember. No worries if you don't know, just thought I would take a shot.

Go Clones!!

Thanks,
Ryan

I don't remember off the top of my head, but I have a friend who might. Let me see if he remembers.

An idea for On That Note: songs that are responses to other songs. It may be challenging but, "Major Tom" by Peter Shcilling is often thought of as a response to "Space Oddity" by Bowie. Just an idea!
Hi there - are the parking passes for this weekend still available? Definitely interested in one and maybe two...
