INSIDER: What I know about Rasir Bolton waiver timeline

So basically, this is how it works.

Once the paperwork is submitted to the NCAA, schools/players find out the results in almost exactly three weeks. As of last night, the paperwork had not been submitted but I'm guessing it will be today or tomorrow. Bolton had to make his decision first.

For those asking about the basis of the waiver, I simply don't have all of the details. I've heard that it has to do with the issues with the Penn State coaching staff and other players last season but again, nobody has really commented publicly on this.

My guess though is that we'll know in 3-4 weeks but definitely by the end of June. There seems to be a lot of confidence that he will be eligible next season though.

Re-al Deal

Tom Manning needs to find a way to get Re-al (deal) Mitchell on the field, and I don't mean in special situation, I mean every series. He's too much of a special athlete to use only in mop up action. Whether as a flanker back taking a reverse with a run pass option, in the wildcat, or even as a dual running back, he needs to be out there. My fear is that if he's not utilized, we'll lose him to transfer.

I went to Iowa State from 01-05 and no one really drank Busch Light. If you went out east to Iowa City and UNI, you saw people drinking it there. It seemed like Keystone, Natural Light, and Bud Light were the top 3 beers of choice at every tailgate or house party on campus. Natty Light and Keystone were both 30 packs and us poor college kids always bought it for the extra 6 beers at the same price. The first time I ever really heard people drank it much in Ames was when Chris started writing about it being his beer of choice.

Lastly, I will probably get torched for this, but.... BUSCH LIGHT SUCKS!!!! I'd much rather drink a shiner bock, bud or even coors light before you got me dipping into that crap.

Go State!

High School Football Issues

I just saw this article on yahoo and it referenced Indianola vs Hoover

https://www.yahoo.com/news/poor-schools-cant-compete-richer-120227608.html

In the first paragraph of the article it says "An hour before kickoff at a game this month at Hoover High School, the opposing football team, Indianola High, pulled up and unloaded the large video monitor that would let its coaching staff analyze plays, moment by moment, throughout the game."

Is this real life? How is a high school team allowed to have equipment on the side lines to watch real time game film? You can't even do this in the college game!!!
