I'd say its very unprofessional of King to leave his coach in his first year like this. 
I guess we will know who Oklahoma's quarterback will be next year. Wonder if they go after him hard since they have Rattler on the bench
They can do what they want and this is probably a cost of the new redshirt rule, which I think is a very good rule, but this is a ****** thing to do. Not much anyone can do about it but it's ********.

Good for him. As a player, you have a finite amount of eligibility. Can't blame anyone for wanting to maximize it. He's trying to make football his career. If he doesn't feel like Houston can get him there, or that a different School can prepare him better, more power to him.
That's pretty much where I'm landing. If he thinks there's better opportunity elsewhere and the rules permit it then more power to him. Too bad for Dana.

I haven't seen him pop up in any discussions about the 2020 or 2021 QB class. Maybe that's why he's transferring.
From a quick peek at the timeline, it looks like he originally committed to Houston with Tom Herman. Then had a couple of years with Major Applewhite. Then the start of this year with Holgorsen. I'll agree that's tough.
Sure it is within the rules, but I wouldn't respect him as a teammate. Appears to be a total reaction to the slow start of the season for the team. Transfer before the season if you don't like the new coaching staff, otherwise don't quit on your brothers.

I think his parents are idiot's for coming up with that name.
I dunno. I guess if his former teammates at Houston take some public shots at him then maybe there's something to that. But these guys are all playing the same game and they're all aware of what's at stake. I'd be curious to hear what they have to say but I suppose Dana has told them to not address it with reporters or on social media.
Interesting. Maybe it's just Holgerson pushing out guys from the old regime? Happens fairly often with a new staff, albeit usually in the spring and summer instead of smack in the middle of the season.
Which part do you disagree about, and what do you mean with your comment about the former teammates?
I'm looking at it from a "this season" standpoint since there was an element of reset with the coaching staff change. It's always possible there is more going on behind the scenes, but if I'm a current teammate I see this as quitting on the team.
