Environmental Consulting, any fanatics working in the industry?

Hey fanatics, I wanted to see if we have any experienced consultants on here working in the environmental industry. I’ve always felt like I’ve been behind the proverbial “8 ball” in terms of salary since joining the industry in 2015 and am looking for some thoughts on understanding my worth.

Hoping to get an unbiased opinion on my situation if we have anyone with ties.

General notes on my experience:
1 year in oil/gas
8.5 years in environmental
Professional Geologist license

Thanks ahead of time!

7 states file lawsuit against the NCAA over transfer restrictions

The current, one-time, no penalty, rule is what they're targeting. They're asking for an injunction to stop it from being enforced.

“As long as the kid is in good academic standing and on track to graduate, that kid should be able to decide for him or herself what’s in their best interest, for their personal growth, their happiness, their economic opportunity. That is absolutely the American Way. And that’s a requirement of federal law. The rule offends that requirement.”

Random thread of Astrophotography

Like Angie's thread on general photography, I'm creating this thread for the folks who like to shoot skyward between dusk and dawn, or even beyond that if you're into solar or lunar photography. I am in no way anywhere close to Trevor Jones or Alyn Wallace, but I suspect more than a few folks would like to be. Here I hope folks will share:

-Beautiful examples of their work
-Locations with dark skies to safely shoot after dark, in Iowa or elsewhere
-Technique, in the field to post-processing
-Gear info

The Geminid meteor shower is less than a week away, and December is the darkest month of the year, so let's kick this off. Here's an hour of stacked data of Orion that I shot from Shelby County during the last new moon. I used an astro-modified Canon 6D and a Tamron 85mm f/1.8 lens riding on an iOptron Skytracker Pro. This was somewhat experimental, but worked out pretty well. Two or three times more exposure would bring out an impressive amount of nebulosity, I'm sure.

Streaming

I have a very broad question for you out there w experience in cutting the cord. Is there an obvious choice between YouTube TV, Hulu or Philo?

Side note: my independent subscriptions for ESPN+ ($110 annually) and Disney+ ($140 annually both expire/auto renew within 2 weeks of each other Dec 27 & Jan 11.

I obviously thought a bundle of those 2 with Hulu would be the way to go; however it appears that is still really pricey. I was thinking of keeping those two independent and going w YouTube tv due to the channels that are desired and overall cost.

Channels or family of channels of interest are Nick Jr, Fox sports family, ESPN family and we have a few others.

Many, many thanks in advance!!!

It was so much easier to watch tv when my father asked me to change the channel and I would stand up and rotate the dial to the next channel…..

FS: 6 Timberwolves Tix For Tomorrow Night (12/16) - Tyrese Haliburton vs. Anthony Edwards!!

Hey All,

We are big Twolves and Cyclones fans and bought 6 tickets for my son's 14th birthday so he could watch his 2 favorite players (Tyrese and Ant) go ahead to head. Unfortunately, we can no longer go to the game because my son has his own basketball tournament game at the same time. :(

I have posted these tickets online as well, but if you are interested and get back to me on this forum before they sell, you can get a better deal and avoid fees. We can handle it via Venmo and I can transfer the tickets through the AXS app using your email address.

Tickets are section 118, row W, seats 1-6.
I paid $100/each + fees. I am willing to take the hit on the fees if a Cyclone fan is interested.

Please DM me if interested.

Go Cyclones!

Doritos Flavor-Blasted Liquor

From the release, it "opens with umami and tangy aromas of nacho cheese, moving to the deeper, corn-forward flavors of the chip to finish on a soft salty note”.

I've often been snacking on Doritos and thought, "I'd love a smooth-sipping nacho cheese drink."
