  • Ankle: for the best summer tan lines

    Votes: 39 34.2%
  • Mid-Calf: even better if they have stripes around the top!

  • Over-the-Calf: let the world know you mean business

    Votes: 7 6.1%
  • Toe Socks: because you like to watch the world burn.

What are your preferred socks? I got some badly needed new socks for Christmas and was ecstatic to see they got me over-the-calf like I wanted. Mid-calf end up sliding down all the time, and ankle socks are weird with anything besides shorts.

2nd generation of current and former NBA stars

Interesting read on several high profile current and former NBA stars who have kids ready to make their own mark. It also makes me feel real old. :)

Friday OT - R.O.C.K. In the U.S.A.

I saw the attached infographic this week, and found the dichotomy of Europe/Asia vs US interesting. And I love the mental image of everyone in Zimbabwe listening to Thin Lizzy non-stop.

My most-listened to would likely be Bowie, maybe the Stones. Beatles are certainly up there. I have a mental block with Nirvana being considered classic rock.

What would your top classic rock band be?

Wide Receiver Coach hired.

Iowa State at Missouri

There has been one casual post about this game Saturday about who is going.. Kind of surprised that there isn’t more anticipation for this game. So I’ll start the prediction thread.

Missouri is now an SEC school obviously and they’ve been having a pretty good season. They seem like a team right at the fringe of the top-twenty five ranking. They are at a 15-5 mark if I’m not mistaken and are tough on Norm Stewart’s court.

I’ve got to be honest, they kind of remind me of Oklahoma State in the fact that they are not stellar offensively but play a stingy defense. Kind of like we were last year.

Iowa State 74
Missouri 71

But I don’t feel extremely confident with this one.
