Most people got their new assessment roll in the mail today and ours went up 29.4 percent this year with no changes to the property. From talking to a few people, this is about where everyone is at.

I thought there was a cap on the percentage increase year over year but I’m not finding anything concrete. Anyone know?

I got a bill from my LP service for 130 gallons this month. We have electric water heater and stove. The only things using gas are the furnace and gas fireplace and neither of those have been running. So what the heck is using all the gas? Do I have a leak?

What is the weirdest kid name(s) you have personally witnessed? I'm not talking urban legends (Twins named Lemonjello and Orangejello) or any of Elon Musk's kids' names.

I have a few, all from working in an urban school district in Illinois:

-Pepsi (self-explanatory)

-Hitachi (was the first thing the parents saw when trying to think of a name their VCR brand or something?)

-Sobriety (the mother was addicted for 8 previous kids, but not for this one!)

The Expanse premiers on SyFy tonight with episode #2 on Tuesday.

I am a sucker for sci-fi so watched #1 last night on Comcast Demand. Also streamed the little 3 minute intro/backgrounds videos to get a better picture of the setting.

Looks like it might be pretty good space opera. The sets and effects stuff is WAY past what you see in most scifi TV. I do mean WAY, this isn't Dark Matter or Killjoys on the cheap stuff, this is movie theater quality. I am probably hooked.

I have not read the books.

If Dekkers has to sit, how does our offense change based upon the strengths of the other QBs? I have read on this board about Dekkers arm with sufficient athleticism but I don‘t have a feel for the rest of the room.

Do we do more RPO with one guy over another? (Presuming Nate adjusts the offense slightly to match the talent on the field).

Game-worn football helmet from the 2001 season, including Independence Bowl vs Alabama. Not sure who wore it, but it was used, as Alabama crimson is transferred in multiple spots onto the decal. Purchased from ISU Athletic Department.

Basketball signed by several players and coaches from the summer between the Hoiberg and Prohm eras. Obtained in the Hoiberg Fantasy Basketball camp that summer.

We were overseas on vacation this spring and went into a restaurant to eat. My wife asks for a menu and the waitress pointed to a QR code on our table. We had to download the menu on to her phone.
I was just curious if anyone else has had that happen at a restaurant.
