Friday OT #2 - Bi***in’ Camaro

Thanks so much to @CYdTracked for this thread! Here is how he put it:

What is the best and worst car you have every owned? I figure most of us probably have a favorite car we had and probably 1 they wish they never bought too.

My worst car that I ever personally bought was a teal green 1999 Plymouth Neon. The head gasket needed replaced about 1 year after I got it (which apparently happened on about 75% of them).

Friday OT #1 - A Little Self-Care

Thanks so much to @madguy30 for another great thread idea! Here is how he worded it:

Things people should do that have had positive outcomes for them.

So, in essence - what are good habits or activities that are helpful to you living a better life? My husband and I started taking trips without the kids last year, and we remembered that, although our children are our lives, it is also okay to prioritize each other and to relax sometimes. (A trip with kids is rarely going to be relaxing!)

What are your “stay sane” tips?

If Kansas leaves the Big 12 for the PAC, who do you take back?

The following YouTuber suggests that Kansas is actively trying to leave the Big 12 for the PAC.

John Kurtz Podcast

While I suspect the post that led to John's speculation is a just a troll, I for one would help Kansas pack their bags if we got about anyone back from the PAC. Heck, I might even take one of the other schools we considered for expansion over the Jayhawks. Sure we would lose the history of Kansas - ISU but from a football standpoint - who cares if Kansas leaves? Form a basketball standpoint, the conference will be strong without Kansas and we can beat them in the tourney.

If I had my pick of a school that I think would be realistic I would do Utah. (we are not getting a blue blood like USC and the Arizona schools likely come as a package deal).

Jared’s Mailbag 6/23

Not sure if posted elsewhere.

His response about the cornerback room was most intriguing to me.

Brands of Gas

With the cost of gas being so high, I was wondering if people buy certain brands of gas (Caseys, BP, Kum and Go, Etc.) or just buy whatever is cheaper. I have heard some people complain that gas from certain places are bad or don't get as good mileage. I think since they all adhere to the same requirements, they are all pretty much the same, but wanted to get everyone's thoughts.

Recruiting Retirement

Looks like I've been covering ISU football recruiting since Dec. 13, 2016. My first of three children was born a couple months before that so maybe I was looking for something to do on those late nights. I like to think I had the best most accurate lists until this day. Anyway, it's been fun but I can't do it anymore. Shoutout to my #1 fan @Aclone. I sent CW/CF the pass on info for the Twitter. Thanks for following.

Movie you've always like/loved but you see it again and forget how great it is...

There's a lot of movies I love and when I see them again a few years later I forget how good they are. But one that stands out that I seem to ALWAYS forget how great it is Michael Mann's 'Heat'. Criminally underseen overall and under-appreciated. And the cast is incredible.
