Zeb Noland transferring

I have no info but the guy worked his tail off all his life to PLAY QB and now he might feel like he's looking at a 4-year Seneca Wallace in front of him. I wouldn't blame the guy for wanting to go somewhere to play.
I don’t blame him, either. But unless he has academic concerns that he needs to focus on, “deciding to transfer” in the middle of the season and semester is remarkably...suboptimal.

If he goes it makes sense and I 've appreciated his time and (apparent) support for his teammates.

Only issue I have is if he doesn't finish the season out at least with the team, esp since he's already redshirted but that's the norm now I guess.

If is leaving best of luck to him. Seems like a great kid and a decent qb. It has to be hard for him to see what's going on. At least he had chances to prove himself so there isnt any what ifs.

Is there any reason to leave the team mid-season if you've already redshirted?

Maybe there is a legit personal concern . . . sick parent, etc.
I tend to agree with this. It wouldn’t make sense to transfer until at least semester, and from his tweet congratulating Purdy and everything that’s been said about the closeness of the QB room there has to be more going on other than just being disgruntled.

I know he has so many years to play but could keep competing for the spot and iowa state has a history of going through starting qbs. He could also make the most of his time and compete in practice and watch film. I have nothing against him personally just wish him the best.
