Can you guys give this WVU fan an idea of what to expect? They only played 4 games vs power conference tourney teams so I'm unsure if their computer numbers are extremely inflated or if they're the real deal.

You all took them to the brink once this year...you guys also played wildly fun close games with WVU 3 times.

Thoughts on what Wvu needs to do to win the game and also how do you expect it to go as a fan base that at least knows both teams a little bit.

Thanks and tough loss yesterday you all fought and I was pulling hard for the Cyclones!!!

It should be quite interesting. I don't think they've seen a team like WVU this year.

They're big man is a monster and moves quite well. They have very good personnel overall.

If you're bigs can stay out of foul trouble, I think you guys will win.

Switch defenses between man and zone. Obviously, you are going to have to stop Karnowski but they are very well versed at the inside-outside game especially with Nigel Williams-Goss. Contrary to popular belief Gonzaga is very beatable at this level and due for a loss. They've been way too lucky bagging numerous games by a close margin. I wish we were in a position to play them again because I think we would have beat them.

They are legit. I don't know how good of a chance you guys have because I haven't seen them play against a team like you. I'd say they are similar to Purdue but better.

They seem to go in scoring droughts more than your typical top seeds do against good teams. I like WVU to win this one.

I also picked WVU over Gonzaga. They don't face anything like the game you play in their conference. They are frequently befuddled by power conference styles once they get to the dance.

I picked Gonzaga over WV in my bracket but I regret it. I like your chances for an upset.

Man I hope you're right...I'm just trying to get an edge looking at kenpom and Zags rule the metrics...

Needless to say they also only played 8 teams in kenpom top 73 (where worst big 12 team Texas is ranked).

The only thing I remember about that game was it was extremely similar to last night. We looked completely overmatched in the first half, we started attacking the basket hard in the 2nd and came back from a huge deficit, only to go cold at the end.

I would agree with the other poster though, they seem very similar to Purdue, but probably have better guard play.

I like WVU's chances. I actually picked this match-up in my bracket and picked a WVU "upset." Gonzaga strikes me as tall, talented, but a little soft. I think that's the exact type of team that WVU can push around - if the refs don't call it close to some extent.

I cheer for WVU when out-of-conference, but it is hard to like the constant hand-checking and muck-it-up style you guys play. It makes for a more bullish game with less finesse. Also, I think your team, perhaps more than any in the Big XII, is most susceptible to the refs calling a tight game. You guys need the refs to swallow the whistle to get some turnovers; otherwise, the other team has a constant parade to the foul line if the refs call it like the rules state. So, I think if the refs allow you to play the way they did throughout most of the Big XII season, I think you'll come away with the upset.

Huggy has found a successful strategy with his full court press. I think that's works well during conference play but I question it for tournament play at this high level. I think WVU tends to get gassed toward the end of games as a result. I think they would be better conserving energy, play incredible intensive half court defense, focus on transition points as Gonzaga slower, and throw them off by switching to zone to break the perimeter rhythm. Additionally crash the boards especially defensive. You can't let Gonzaga's big monkeys get second chance points.

Wvu loses games when they turn it over...that's been the common theme this year, luckily Gonzaga doesn't force very many turnovers. Wvu's ball movement and finding the open shooter yesterday was wonderful. If we stay unselfish and on course you guys are letting me believe a 69-65 type win is possible.

I think Gonzaga is massively overrated and WVUs game will give them issues. Deny post entry so they can't get their inside out game going, very similar to Purdue.

I would not pick Gonzaga to win this game. I also wouldn't put so much weight into the Kenpom, RPI ect..metrics because of their weaker schedule especially nonconference. Personally, I think they are damn good team but overrated. We had them beat but gave it away.

I think Gonzaga is legit and took them to the championship in my bracket, but WVU could very well pull the upset. The press might be too much for them to handle. Obviously their big win of the year is over Arizona, but playing WVU right now is the biggest test. WVU probably needs to get hot from 3 again in my opinion.

They are legit, but like their last game they seem to go cold and are susceptible to runs. If you're ahead, tied, or otherwise close it seems like they will turn the ball over and otherwise go cold from the field.

I picked Gonzaga as well and having serious doubts at this point.

Gonzaga is tough because they have the big man that can hurt you down low. If you double him, they have guys that can hit the 3.

I think the press will give them fits though.

Burton hurt them. We hadn't figured out our bigs yet, I think Young still out with injured hand and other bigs were trying to create still instead of feed off guards. But Burton gave them all that they could handle.
