Your Comedian Mount Rushmore

Interesting, I'd never heard this. I love Bill Hicks, really a waste that he died young. I have never seen enough of Leary and Hicks I suppose to notice. Bigger thing for me would be the sound of their voices. Leary is a New York loud mouth, and Hicks is a psychedelic cowboy from Texas. Would be hard for me to ever mistake Leary as a copy without more familiarity.

Leary is a ******* hack.

Mullany this show for kids thing was so bad I suspect he's out of material which is a bummer because his earlier stuff was on point.

Oh, gosh - I adore "Sack Lunch Bunch." It's clever and pithy and a great callback to 80s ensemble TV shows. The music is great, etc. I definitely see how it isn't for everyone, but I loved it and it got amazing reviews.

Leary is a Boston loudmouth.

A few things. I am big into comedians. Love it. Sit around and listen all the time. Road trips I listen to mostly stand up.

George Carlin is one of my favorites. Dude is awesome and his stuff would be even better in modern times with all the wimpyness of America. However, he has some really bad albums in between really good ones.

Also, No idea why Andrew Dice Clay get's left off everyones list. Dude sold out Madison Square several times in a row and did Arena tours for the longest time. First comedian to ever do that. Possibly because he is not the huge star anymore that he was. However, the guy had some seriously good stuff.

IN the mix
Seinfeld - People forget he used to be a killer stand up.
Greg Giraldo- Killer
Louis Ck- Killer
Jay Leno- He was considered the best comic at the Comedy Store by all the comics pre Tonight show.
Joan Rivers was so good. She was one of the first women to do "Men" type sets. Her stuff still holds up today.
Sam Kinnison- Life ended right when he was huge
Bill Hicks- Dennis Leary ripped off his whole act. To the point he would do it word for word.
I know this will get some hate and I am not a huge fan. Dane Cook was huge. Yeah he might have stolen the jokes also but he was huge. I never got his act.
Brian Reagan- Best clean comic out there
Steven Wright
Mitch

Louis Black
Jeff Foxworthy
Larry The Cable Guy

The last three you have to kind of have a taste for but they are all huge.

A Mt Rushmore is nearly impossible, but as a side note I was on stage with Dice at the Irvine Improv

I never understood the thought of Robin Williams as a great comedian or comedic actor. I actually thought he was a very good serious actor, but I never found his standup or comedic acting roles funny at all.

Chapelle is probably my favorite as far as material and writing. As far as just a naturally hilarious person, I think Attell is really tough to beat. His stand up was good, but his Insomniac show where he was out doing random things and talking to people was gold, and it’s hard to imagine someone else doing that better.

That's certainly a unique take on Robin Williams. His bit on the invention of golf is one of my favorite of all time.
