Wow! Really?

Not that I agree with it, but am I the only one who thinks Wagner could lose money in this? I feel like I’ve heard stories where people’s homes are broken into and then they are sued because the person who broke into the home fell on loose flooring and broke an arm.
I was immediately worried for him

The field rusher is very unlikely to get far on the criminal side (law enforcement and prosecutors aren’t inclined to incentivize someone rushing a field or stage at an event). It would have probably taken something much more extreme than this to get them to pursue it (beyond filing a complaint), but you can never be certain depending on the jurisdiction. On the civil side it doesn’t appear that there would be many damages to claim and the plaintiff wouldn’t be very sympathetic to the average juror (not that it is likely to make it to trial).

Sooo.......making my own choice of illegally running onto the field.........that i'm not supposed to be on..........and a player who is supposed to be on the field hits me..........and that's not fair to me.

Makes total sense.

Does anyone know if the NFL has a policy about this? I wouldn't be shocked if there's something in Wagner's contract that means he will get fined.
They don't want players getting involved, not only because the protestor could get hurt and sue, but because the player could easily get injured. Who knows what a random guy on the field has in his pockets or what he's planning to do?

I feel like if you want to raise awareness for animal rights there are better ways to do it than this. What an idiot.

KOK, GD, BF = all the same. KF and Iowa fans are the real problem. Kansas>Iowa State>Iowa

Agree. This just makes whatever their cause is look stupid and easy to dislike.

what did they win? The "we just annoyed and pissed off a lot of people trophy"? Seems like bad publicity.
They won that people now know who they are. I assumed it was a breast cancer issue until this story came out.
Any donation they receive is more than they previously had, whether you, I, or the majority agree with it.

It was a dumb stunt 100%

I read the article once and don't remember the group's name. Not that big of a win.

Same with me but sometimes any win, even if 1 out of 1000 readers donate, for a group like that is more than they previously had.

Yeah I always find this type of protest weird. I guess all press is good press? But I feel like most people will be less sympathetic to the cause especially because of a stupid lawsuit

Exactly. Go ask Brett Favre right now if all publicity is good publicity.

Let's see if anything actually happens to Favre. Curious if his charity has received any money from sympathizers.
