Many people wish they had done things differently in their life and that is part of maturity with life experiences. Ham has a chance to be a really good player and has shown improvement with more upside there. I hope Ham comes back if that is what the coach wants. Redemption is always possible no matter what is said and done and that is part of life otherwise none of us will be able to function in this world.

Devil's Advocate . . .
So he gained a wealth of maturity in the last month?

Yes I would welcome Justin Hamilton back if he wants to come and if Fred wants him back....

She's a 2 way street boys and girls er men and ladies....

I back Fred and Jamie One Hundred Per Cent since that albatross around my neck now resides in Omaha NE:yes:

How could you not? Sure, the public word was he wanted to go closer to home and he didn't follow through with that, but in case you were living in a cave, some inside info came out that pretty much confirmed that the true reason was issues with the coach. What a shocker. Obviously he wasn't alone in that feeling.

Anyways, with the problem gone, if he wants to come back and Hoiberg wants him, welcome him back!

I don't know. The question is really about whether it was rash decision that he wishes he could change, if he has learned something, or there were factors we don't all know about and could endlessly speculate about. After all as a great philosopher once said "What if there were no hypothetical situations?". I guess in that situation message boards would be very short and boring. Props to whoever can name this philosopher.

Ham didn't like the style GMac played and probably didn't like GMac. So he is one of 20 other guys that wanted to get away from what was going on with the ISU MBB team. Not much of a surprise to me. If GMac had stayed ISU would have been down to 6 scholarship guys and a bunch of walk ons by the start of BB games started next fall.

agree here. I don't blame him for not wanting to play for a coach like GMac. If he wants to come back and play for a winner, I have no problem with that. ISUers would love it if he came back.

He didn't slam ISU on this......he wanted to be rid of GMac's coaching and leadership. Come back and play for the Mayor Ham.

Message to Ham- Please come back. We now have a coach that will build great relationships with players, play a more fun style of basketball, and you will experience Hilton Magic starting with game 1 next year. With you back we will have a good shot at the NIT next year and who knows, maybe the NCAA in two. Please come back and become the solid Big 12 center we know you can be.

If The Mayor wants him back, I want him back.

This is the only acceptable answer. The is Fred's team now - he makes the calls, and we support his decision. Regarding Ham's FB comments - show me a 20 year old who hasn't shot off his mouth and I'll introduce him back to you as Jesus...
