You could look at it this way.....

Can you go out there and find many better JUCO posts at this point? With his 2 years left thats essentially what you are recruiting.

Plus I dont blame him or any others for leaving the sinking Mac ship.

The situation is a lot different now for Ham. With the coaching change, he can stay at ISU, but still have the same effects that transferring would have (in basketball anyways).
Hamilton has improved greatly, and I think with the help of Fred and staff, he could take his play to a very high level. Given the departures from last years team, he would have at least have an opportunity.

Yes of course! Good center, good guy, would love to have him back. Voting no is just stupid.

This is a no brainer, its obvious nobody wanted to play for McDermott once they got here, says alot about what Creighton fans have to look forward to if players want to come back once McDermott leaves.

Where is the Yes!! option, that doesn't have a despite everything else. He has done nothing wrong IMO.

I know it has been discussed in other threads, but I want to see the numbers in a poll.

Would you welcome Hamilton back?
Fact: He is a good center.
Fact: He decided to bail on the Cyclones, and consider his facebook comments

I noticed a mention on Peterson's DMR blog about the possibility. I would welcome him back, just like Colvin (who appears to be leaving, according to CW).

I was growing irritated with players defecting and giving vague reasons — but perhaps that wasn't such a bad thing. In Hamilton's case, his closer-to-home reasons seemed bizarre in light of destinations like LSU. If he wanted to leave because of the coach (and probably the losing), I wouldn't bad-mouth his return.

If he said he wanted to transfer and specifically dissed ISU itself ... maybe not.

Yes. No problem. In fact, it would be a pretty impressive repudiation of GMac if big Ham did come back. It sounds like Ham's differences were with GMac and not ISU.

I can recall several people who broke out the torches and pitchforks when he said he was leaving (especially when he said he was going to LSU).

Yeah, the 9.68% loud-mouth minority.

Yeah, because that had absolutely NOTHING to do with him saying that he was leaving ISU to play at a school closer to home, only to transfer to a school even further away from home than where he was at...

As I have said countless times, far fewer people would have been royally ****** off had he just been honest from the beginning and said that things just weren't working out for him at ISU. The vast majority of us would have known why it wasn't working out for him, understood, and wished him well. To make matters worse, everyone already KNEW that his wanting to transfer had more to do with him wanting to be away from McDermott and less to do with him wanting to be closer to home, so there was really no need to be dishonest about it.

That being said, I'm more of the "forgiving and forgetting" type. As I said earlier, I'd be more than happy to welcome him back.

Not my job, but I am happy with the guy we hired to do that job. I'll be satisfied with whatever he decides is best for the team.
