Worst fanbase in America is......

According to Colin Cowherd on his show today-- not surprisingly, the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Colin had about a two minute rant about the Iowa fake ID again and that nobody from the Iowa fan based tweeted or emailed him about the Rose Bowl rout. So he tweeted something to the effect of " It's awfully quiet in Iowa City" and then Iowa fans unloaded on him again.

Yea, it just Cowherd, but this is an example of what happens when somebody (correctly) does not buy into the Hawkeye hype. Two arrogant forces collide.

You realize that ISU fans are notorious as a fan base that attacks any national media member who has anything less than glowing to say about ISU, right?

Tons of Iowa fans followed their team to Pasadena...which makes them great fans of their team. Delusional, maybe. Hypersensitive, certainly. But if you're the players you have to love them. As opposed to KU football who basically have no fans.

Cowherd is just a troll who found a fanbase that will voraciously bite.

A few things I've heard lately:

How great the Iowa fans have been. Then why did thousands of season ticket holders not renew, why did Barta mail out letters, and why did fans still struggle to show up?

Kirk is a great coach, a man with integrity. Why did his kid that was on the football team live in low income housing, and why did Kirk and his wife during an interview a month ago say money doesn't matter? What parent that has any sort of contact with their kid not know where they live, especially one that is their coach?

Iowa wasn't prepared for Stanford's speed. Stanford may be slower than Oregon, Wazzu, and Arizona in the Pac. How are you going to get prepared by adding ****** programs to the B1G like Rutgers and Maryland, and playing them instead of playing tOSU, Michigan, MSU? Why are there rumors that Iowa doesn't want to leave the State for non-conference football? You think you are going to get used to speedy teams by ducking having to go to Tucson?

Well Stanford lost to NW, so we didn't think they were that good. Yeah, and Carolina lost to South Carolina the same weekend, and what happened to Spurrier? What happened to Carolina? They went on a massive roll up to the conference championship.

This is true. Maybe not notorious but there is a reputation. Some of the CBB writers have joked about it. We have some pretty militant fans on twitter.
 
Dear Iowa....ALL of America now knows you have a fake football team with that crap schedule along with the most delusional and arrogant fans in the land.

PS...most of the folks in the mid-west already knew this.
