Woodbury

Woodbury is the anti-Lohaus. Lohaus came in a geeky dork who missed open dunks but left as a draftworthy player.

Woodasaurus Rex came in with big hype, and barring a major "Road to Damascus" intervention from the basketball gods he's gonna go out regressed back to where he was in 10th grade.

Maybe that's why he pokes eyes: in the game of one eyed men, the big dork with 2 good eyes is king.

He really is. Never seen a player with that height and being a 4 star recruit miss soooo many lay ups and dunks. Not to mention he just has zero touch around the rim and can't jump 2 inches off the floor. Will definately miss him.

It's not even that. He's a horrible defender, horrible ball handler, and is incredibly easy to our smart. He is just a giant doofus.

"We know Woodbury doesn't move his feet well"

Monte Morris

Monte nailed it with that quote in his post game interview. The rest of the quote was classic...

"We wanted to set a screen and get a switch involving Woodbury. Anytime he is involved in a play is good for us".

I'm just disappointed we did not get shushed last night. Oh wait, he only does that to his own fans.

I kind of feel bad for the guy. I zeroed in on him for a few plays and I swear it seemed like it was his first game out there. Just a bit awkward and seemed surprised when someone passed him the ball. On defense he was lost most of the time. A four star? Too bad for him but good for us. I bet he was glad HE didn't poke Jok's eye, he may not have ever lived that down.

He had a pretty good game for himself last night, on the woodbury grading scale.

I blame his akwardness on this thread. (You know he's seen this, or heard about it from someone) He figured all eyes were on him, and he couldn't sneak an eye-poke in anywhere. Same goes for Fran not having an outburst.

For the life of me I can't understand how the iowa staff couldn't get him to develop a soft half hook shot..he'd avg 6-8 pts alone with that move developed. He just plays stiff.
