Wins over/under for Each Big12 Team

It all depends on the O line on offense. If they suck, we suck.

Baylor under 8 seems pretty easy to me. They lose a ton off of their defense, and even though I think Aranda was a solid hire, I can't see them making a perfect transition.

Kansas under 3.5 is another one that I like. I just have to see Les prove it before I'd put money on them to win 4 games in a season at KU.

It’s funny they said Purdy didn’t perform when everything was in the line. I guess that’s one way to look at it. He was great in the 4th quarter. Usually it was just too much to overcome from slow starts.

Yeah, I would absolutely disagree with this. Last season, with exceptions (notably Iowa and ND), he performed when things were on the line. It was the holes the team dug that too often were too big to escape from - Baylor, OU, OSU, notably - that was the issue.

I feel that if Purdy scrambled out of the pocket a little more last season , we would have pulled out an extra win or two. His first season, he probably ran too much. Last season, he didn't run enough. Hopefully, this season will be in the middle.

Replacing 4 of the 5 starters on the OL is the key to our season. If we can't protect Purdy or open up holes for Hall to run it doesn't matter how much talent we have coming back at skill positions if we don't have some consistency up front on the line. Also replacing 2 big cogs up the middle on the DL too in Lima and Johnson and Spears and Lewis leave big shoes to fill too on the defensive side. I'm more confident the defense will be fine if not better with the depth and influx of talent we have established there. I think Sean Shaw Jr takes a big step forward and becomes our go to WR and still have nice pieces at that position with Milton Akers and Scates as well as 3 very good TE that can catch the ball too.

Didn't it come out that he was injured and that kept him from running more?

I agree though...he doesn't need to 50/50, but he's one that seems at his best when he's into the physicality of the game.

It's more like 3 of 5 starters on the OL with Newell back. I have a feeling that they'll be fine. Ramos is going to be a good player at LT. Interior DL is a concern, but they have plenty of bodies. I feel like we'll see more rotating there and possibly flipping to a 4-2-5 with Enyi at DT. If he's really at 305, that's a load. LB, we'll miss Spears. I do think that we might have an overall better group if they're able to move Rose back inside. Depth is pretty green there though. Lewis is not a huge loss...he struggled last year and got picked on.

Personally, I think that we'll be lucky if we get to see any FB at all. If I had the option of starting in October and just playing a conference season, I'd sign up for it right now.

Eight seems right for ISU. The finish last season wasn't Purdy. Push.

Ku should win four but I wouldn't touch the over at 3.5. Miles and that whole athletic program are a mess.

Some odd comments saying K-State had a rough season last year, what the hell, eight wins is a bumpy start for Klieman? 6 seems like a steal. Over.

Who knows how good OU will be with Rattler - 10 wins seems spot on again, wouldn't touch. Push.

Texas is always overrated, take the under 9.

I look for oSu to be really, really good this year and 8.5 seems like a take every time. Over.

Baylor, who knows at 8? Solid at QB but losing that really good d'line and outstanding coach. Under.

TCU has been down but at 6.5 it seems like Gary is due. Over.

TxT gets their QB back. But they also have Matt Wells as coach. Under

WVU at 5.5 is an over for me. Coach Brown is worth 6 on his own his second year.

Yes, he was playing on two bum ankles.

I agree with you and can't find anything I'd change, but I'm guessing that is 8 teams going bowling (as long as you don't have Baylor or UT going below 6). Something isn't adding up, but I don't know what I'd change. maybe taking the under on WVU. Although, the article has 8 teams too, unless they are saying TCU drops to 5.
