Such a beautiful day out finally got in for a second and hopped on. Like everyone has been saying really glad to see this many of our guys getting as much competition mat time as they can.

He was sick with the stomach flu and wouldn't have had much competition anyway, except from his teammates.

He definitely deserves a shot. I hope the coaches are noticing him. He has been wrestling lights out lately. Not sure how he pairs up against Breitenbach though.

Yes he did. He has been wrestling 165 since they returned from break I believe. That appears to have been a smart move for him!

Agree that Jennings deserves a shot. Seems like a kid who’s done all the right things and is seeing it pay off.

The University of Wisconsin also had some guys there. They were just listed as Unattached with no school affiliation, but they were Wisconsin guys. Diblasi and Swalla's first victories were against guys from UW and the guy who beat Gremmel was a Badger.

Happy to see our guys getting some mat time. I agree Jenning's should get a look at 65 and I think he will.

Guys who are redshirting have to wrestle unnattached and that means they have to drive themselves, pay their own entry fee, can't wear an ISU singlet, etc... Basically they aren't officially wrestling for ISU when they wrestle unnattached, they're just college kids who happen to want to go to a wrestling tournament. It allows them to wrestle in opens without using a year of eligibility.

I wish the NCAA would allow wrestling to have "JV", unattached competition at dual meets. Would be interesting to see an ISU vs IA, Okie St, etc. where there are "JV", exhibition matches.
