No - eeven though we have found ways to win and I am proud of this team they still have not played like a top 25 team.

Hardly anyone watched the game tonight so most voters will say "hey, Iowa State beat Uconn on the road and are 3-0."

We won't be ranked but I bet we're receiving quite a few votes before the Texas game.

You would have to think we would be ranked after beating Iowa and the Big East Champ on the road. The UNI game (although we won and we all understand the UNI is decent team but the nation doesn't) would be distant past. I hope we get to find out.

Yes, #24. IMO

A resounding No. We will pick up more votes on the bye week than we will with that game

oh come on! People jump all over me for asking if we should be ranked. This guy says we don't want to be ranked and it is okay? I'll go out on a limb and say I would love to be ranked.

Ranked??? Its an hour after the game and there is not even a story on the FB Front page of ESPN and they carried the game!!

Come on though, Ubben put together a lousy highlights write up based on not watching the game. Because so many other Big 12 teams were playing.....

We got two votes last week.

I assume we lose them this week. That was ugly. Hopefully we can take two weeks to heal up and work on penalties.

This is my guess. Unless some of the teams that are around us have really good games to attract attention, I'd guess voters didn't watch the game and will be voting based on the box score which has a big fat W on it.

That said, we haven't played like a top 25 team yet. I think the potential is there if we can develop more consistency and keep getting wins that we "shouldn't."

East Coast bias - if that holds true, they weren't watching Boise play Toledo...

So, who knows.. But, by Sunday I would be surprised if we get more than 10 votes...

For what it's worth, Iowa State was ranked 40th in last week coaches poll. 10 teams ranked ahead of Iowa State lost this weekend.

(15) Michigan State
(16) Ohio State
(18) Arizona State
(19) Auburn
(25) Mississippi State

UCF (27)
Northwestern (29)
Tennessee (32)
Maryland (35)
Washington (37)

Obviously, with us being 15 spots out and only 10 teams losing (teams like MSU, OSU, ASU may stay ranked in top 25,) we won't break the top 25 this week. We did get help from teams ahead of us though, provided we continue to get votes.
