Wow.....sometimes we see these things from some random website "mock draft" but Kiper is VERY connected. This is wild. I know before this past year many thought "first rounder"...but if he cracks the top 10, wild....but also a reminder that the teams draft for a variety of factors (output, potential, size, etc).

If he tests crazy maybe it could happen. You combine freak athleticism with really good college production..... Everyone wants pass rushers.
Certainly didn’t have the stats or eye test of a Top 10 pick this year, but there are great traits present. He’s the definition of a guy that could go early first round or fall to fourth round.
Finally getting a 1st round pick in the NFL would be a nice to have and get off that stupid trivia question list

I think he's going to test crazy. Guy is a unicorn physically.
He blew up in the Senior Bowl practices. Basically unable to be blocked one-on-one.
If he gets picked that high I'm sure the intent is to play him on a lot more snaps, either as a pass rusher or with plans to develop him into more than a pass rush specialist.
But, even a pure pass rush guy is still pretty valuable in the league, though probably not 8th overall.
I hope this happens for a lot of reasons, one being so we can bump the thread where some no name "draft analyst" talked about how misused Will was, and a lot of posters thought the guy had a point
Sure, a guy playing on a highly successful defense, breaking a sack record held by Von Miller, playing a position that is not exactly easy to get sacks, was misused.

He will test off the charts most likely, but he doesn’t have a position to play in the NFL. That’s the issue.
He’ll be brought in only to rush the passer on 3rd and longs. And I’m not sure if anyone knows how he will do against NFL caliber tackles either?
Don’t get me wrong, I’d definitely draft him…. just not in the top 10 picks…. that’s all. But I hope he does, that would be awesome!!

I don't know if "misused" is the right term but he was most certainly not playing his natural position and he was most certainly not as productive as he would have been as a standup edge. That's not debatable. All it takes to see this is the senior bowl reps when he was lined up outside and got one-on-ones and made guys look silly.
Defensive End, or outside LB in a 3-4.
